Kixslf, those look great, and you're getting awesome wear, but my only suggestion would be to back pocket the cell phone.
Carl, get back on the stick. You're spreading yourself too thin with those Flatheads
Still no picks of mine post-wash.

I would love to see what those look like after a wash.

What a drag. I guess I'm going to wait to see what new stuff the Japanese brands come up with before getting a new pair. Wish I'd have stocked up before this.

anybody getting wear and tear on there leather patch im like 5 months in and it looks a mess I dont think i did anything to it
not that i mind just wondering if anybody else is having the same results
Six months in, mine's a little darker, but that's about it. The pocket tab, on the other hand, is pretty much shredded. If I keep this up, I won't have to care about the Levi's thing since I won't have a tab anyway.

I like clunky sneakers with slimmer jeans. Go for it.

I prefer the Sams.
but for godsake, if they are going to look like that at the ankle, get the SD's
I'm guessing the pair the model is wearing is pre-soak, so the ankle stuff would be less goofy once shrunken down. Thanks for the response.

SD-103
or
S510XX2?
I currently have PBJ XX-005, APC New Standard, and Nudie Slim Jims. I'm trying to get something Japanese while they can still have the old pocket designs, and I'm thinking one of these two.
The google translation doesn't tell me a whole lot about the fit, so I'm posting here. I like my jeans slim, but I'm looking for something a little fuller in the thigh than the PBJs.

Does anyone know if the thighs for the 005's are as slim or slimmer than slim jims?
I would say slimmer, but my data is somewhat skewed. I have 005s in one-wash size 30, and Slim Jims in dry size 32. The PBJs are a little too tight in the thigh and the Nudies a little too baggy.

that's pretty amazing... i wore my white sneakers for 1 night and I already saw blue stains on them. Have you posted any after wash pics?
Well, in initial wears I would get some blue on my shoes. Saw only the tiniest bit of blueness near the drain when i emptied the tub.
No pictures yet. Will put some up when I get access to a camera.

I understand that the bottomline here is the law, not what's actually right, wrong, or logical. But what if Ralph Lauren tried to trademark having a logo on the chest of a polo shirt? I'm pretty sure that wouldn't fly today, and the Levi's tab-anywhere-on-pocket thing is pretty much as absurd.

Glad that worked out for you. I just washed mine hot and there was pretty much no blue in the water.

Nice LVCs (even if Levi's are dbags), Iron Army, and AWs in recent posts.
I washed my PBJs, but have no camera right now. No drastic changes, just a little softer and a lot cleaner. I was afraid that even though mine were purchased in One Wash, there would be some shifting or extra shrinking after I washed them. Luckily, this didn't happen and all of the creases are still in the same place.

How long do you think I should hot soak them (while wearing them) ?
And what about drying?
An hour I would think would be enough.
As for drying, the optimum thing to do would be to wear them until drying, but that's time consuming. I've seen pictures of people keeping the waist opening propped open with a hanger or something to prevent further shrinking.

I just want to get rid of the shrinkage before wearing in my honeycombs etc.
I only need a little shrinkage, so I think I will do cold soak. thanks for all the help felllow SF'ers.
Hmm, I would still recommend a hot soak.
At some point down the road, you'll probably end up washing them in hot water. I think the most sensible thing is to get all of the possible shrinking out of the way in the beginning. If you're afraid they'll shrink too much, wear them during.
Unless you're really never going to put them in hot water, in which case cold it up.

It's been a little over six months. I think it's time for a wash.
I'll update this with pictures afterwards.

I guess this question is kind of related, but, I've worn these jeans for about a week and I've decided I want them to shrink up a bit, as they are a bit much in the inseam department. I know that shrinking is usually what you guys do to shrink jeans, but im really paranoid about getting these wet. I don't want to do anything to remotely compromise the wearing process of these jeans, ie don't want indigo loss, dont want premature fading.
thanks
One hot soak will be fine. Don't stress it TOO much

Looks good, Stuntastic. Pictures of the back maybe?

Wow, wonderful shirt. Is this an out-of-print or did some shmuck start reprinting? I don't know how I feel about the yellow/green pairing on the rose, but it's Rites!
It's the real deal from Dischord in the mid 80s. What's funny is, a few days before this auction ended , there WAS a boot up, with the guy selling multiple sizes, and that sold for almost the same price! I lucked out.

OG Rites of Spring shirt.
Spruce Classic Fit Hoodie.
Got both for relatively cheap, I think.

This really makes me wish I'd stocked up on D'Artisans, Samurais, and Canes. It's almost like I have an incentive not to thrash my PBJs too hard, because I won't be able to get another pair with the blue tab. This is bogus!

most stubborn jeans on earth
Kicking Mules, right? You've had those a while, if I remember correctly. Any fading?
I see a little on the thigh area, but not much going on in the creases.

Wow, Superstar. Where is that guy's wiener?

I've just realized that i have waaaay too much in common with Sidney. We have the same last name (Lo), I use a Canon 20D and I recall him mentioning that he had one before in the Self edge party thread, we dont make normal faces in pics, were both tiny asians, and we have humping gif files.
Yeah, but you have an Earth Crisis shirt, and those are always in style.

Based on that, I'd say you'd be straight with a size 30. I'm 5'11 160 and wear a 30 which is a little too snug, so it would probably work out for you pretty well.
