  1. I feel all special being able to impress the super stylish super future boys with something new for once. :P

    re: oneman

I'm a print designer by day so I still rep. the print culture pretty hard. This blog was actually my first time doing any design/coding for the web really.

  2. Yeah keep in mind Graydon Carter, the guy who wrote the top 51 list is about 50 years old and more part of the old conservative guard so i def. think a younger person's list would be far different.

I will def. be reviewing more streetwearish mags in the future....i have this amazing art/design magbook thing from Japan called Cream that I want to get up there this week.

  3. Well it is FINALLY time for the official blog launch! This has been my labor of love for some time now and I only hope that others enjoy it as much as I have thus far. I want to see it grow and really turn into something special. This is my passion and there's nothing else out there like it, so with that said, I bring you the launch of http://mag.nificent.com

With big hopes for the future including a magazine shop guide, myspace page and message boards, MAG.NIFICENT is the first in it's game. Support an original. Hit up MAG.NIFICENT.

  5. Are those just frames with various patterns chilling on your wall? If so, cool, real cool.

Crillz: Yeah I do art direction & design and we had this frame lying round the office so I just filled it with some patterns i'd done. I'm always designing patterns when I'm bored. love that shit.

  6. I cant view the pic...but im assuming u mean the red sandals, as i just went to their site....i dont usually wear super high heels b/c im already pretty tall....and well i prefer to str8 thug it in sneakers

...but i think they are quite nice looking....for a similar shoe, look up some of charlotte ronson's stuff as well...

  7. TATTOOS: i got my barry mcgee tattoo done at Tatu Tattoo on North avenue...but I think the dude who did it has since gone to Tomato tattoo on Chicago Avenue....ive heard lotsa good things about Tomato, though I havent been yet....

  8. SHOES: i still havent been to this leaders place....its kinda in the middle of nowhere on the south side from what i gather.

...seriously though, for badass shoes check out Diana shoes on Milwaukee Ave....i dunno where they get their stuff from but they always have interesting colorways you dont see anywhere else without the total pretension of st. alfreds (...they have never even said hi to me before and ive been in there like 8 billion times).

...also check out espace for shoes on milwaukee/ashland/division...the blond dude who works there is super super nice and its been my best shopping experience ever in chicago service wise. i also like that shop b/c they actually have a lot of great girls stuff as well, not just dudes...

HAIR: i go to salon blonde on north avenue.....one of the girls there was just voted best chicago stylist...i love it.

  9. Arden B. has a lot. they used to have a shop here in chicago and i was able to find these awesome red mesh ones with upturned toes, my favorite shoes ive ever owned. but the store closed and they dont sell them on their site....id kill to be able to order off the le coq site or something...i cant find anywhere else in the c ity thathas them or online (im a girl)

  10. I took a tatoo artist I like a book I had of his drawings/art and then told him kind of the style i wanted to achieve and he drew up some ideas/collages based on the the work in the book

I want to get my other arm done with a few of margaret kilgallen's pieces (she is his wife who died of cancer). they actually have a really similar style though see is a little more *folksy*
