  1. If you're willing to go up to $400 just go straight for the Dior Hommes dude.
Aside from Dior Homme 19cm black raws, you might want to take a look at Flat Head 4001s. Go to Self Edge's website for pictures and measurements of the 4001s.
^^ you can also look to Julian Red, Nudie Thin Finn, April '77, they all do cool variations on dry black

Thanks for all the suggestions. Greatly appreciated, I've been contemplating a pair of Dior Homme for quite some time but I hate purchasing jeans without trying them on. So I've been on the fence about actually getting them or not. But again, thanks for all the suggestions. Truly appreciated.

  2. Hello-

I'm looking for a pair of skinny black jeans (preferably a dry/raw denim), and I was

hoping you would recommend a pair for me. I'm not looking to spend more than $400,

so anything in that price range will do. Thanks!

    P.S.

If it helps, I'm currently rocking a pair of Kill City jeans as a temporary solution for my black denim need and I love the fit of these but not a fan of the quality.

  3. Sol great minds think alike

Apparently, but I like your wall a lot better. Has more character. Mine was just the back

off a 7-11. Got a Pina-Colada/Coca-Cola Slurpee and felt like taking some pictures. Ha!

  4. Is that taken by chance in California? I've got a similar photograph wayyyy back in my archives somewhere (on my ftp) of a skyrider similar to this at Santa Cruz.

Yeah, it was taken this past summer at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. I was so lazy that

day, there were plenty of great photo opportunities that I did not take advantage of. If

possible, could I please see yours? It'd be greatly appreciated. Anyway, here's some

recent photos I've taken for my MySpace blog.

  5. I'm feeling this one. Great alignment and symmetry... there's a lot of detail and interesting things going on in this photograph...

Appreciated. When I saw this building from across the street I instantly feel in love with

it. So glad I had my camera with me, since as of late I've been too lazy to lug around

my DSLR but hopefully this photo will motivate me to start shooting again (I've been

    uninspired for quite some time).

    I echo sid's comments.

    You should post more sol.

Thanks, appreciated as well. And if you ask, you shall receive. More vertical shots..

Ok not trying to be a prick or tightass or anything...

But this is supertalk, a forum to talk about the latest in clothes and what's happening in various cities and etc. Basically celebrating urban life.

When one come in here just posting your daily outfits, it isnt really gonna help out the rest of the forum. He/she don't really bring any thing to contribute.

Its like coming here to be eye-candy.

At least post some opinions in different threads. We appreciate all info and replys no matter how brief/lame it sounds

Just my two cents, not directed at anyone.

I hear what you are saying, but before I started posting pictures

I was just lurking around the site. I've learned a few things, but

I really don't have anything to contribute. Since I'm basically a

noob, I don't know the difference between different types of

denim or anything else of that nature. I have my own style, and

that's just me. But I frequent the site a lot and I thought I could

at least post in the "What are you wearing today?" thread since I

don't really have anything to contribute. I don't want to be one

of those new cats to a forum who asks questions that most likely

have been asked too many times to count. So I just read

different threads and try to absorb as much information that I

can about various topics that are discussed on this board. But

I know you were not directing towards anyone, but I just felt

that I fit in that category that you were talking about and I just

wanted to let you know where I stand. I'm not speaking for all,

but that's just how I feel. Anyway, here is what I wore today..

Far from it, I put "photography by joshua calderon" on all my

pictures. That doesn't mean I'm some Ansel Adams prodigy.

I am still learning how to get more lighting into my pictures by

slowing down the shutter speed (thus all the extra white in the

background, caused by my monitor and a light). I prefer to

take outdoor photos with non-living subjects, it's a lot easier to

shoot then people. And I honestly do not know how to photoshop

pictures, I tend to over contrast my photos (as you can in the

last picture I posted). I never took a photography course nor a

photoshop course, so I'm just experimenting with different things.

    Basically, I am a noob.

  8. Quote: how tall are you and what size is that jacket? i think

it's the surveillance? i remember trying on the medium and

it was huge; i couldn't find a small anywhere.

I'm 5'10" and the jacket I'm wearing in that picture is called

"Recog", which is from this season and it's a medium. A little

bigger than I usually like it, but it's okay. But I do have a

Surveillance jacket as well in the camo-green, and it's a small.

I got it in downtown Seattle at The Northface Store. Hope that

    helps.
