That is an incredible price for any two of those jackets let alone all of them. Are they like incredibly small sizes?

Low rise jeans are a fad I think. I am pretty sure I don't want to spend 200+ bones on a fad because as soon as you got them broke in...fad over. I think that is why all the high end repros are 501 LEVIS repros. You just can't go wrong with a style that's so embedded in our culture. Low rise jeans look so terrible on me, I had a pair of those Iconic straights by levis which have a very low rise and to honest (not to brag) but they looked pretty vulgar in the crotch area. I ain't trying to attract that kind of attention.

Atrociously bad. However, like I said, Dockers did make a line of chinos called K1 and they were replicas of the Lord and Galey "Cramerton Army Cloth" and those are absolutely killer and available on Aero Leather Clothing last time I checked. Kinda $$$ though but in my opinion worth every penny and much much better fit and fabric than Bill's M1 button fly.
The K1s are the closest fabric I have seen the original Army Khakis but the fit is much more modern. Anyone thinking of buying vintage Army Khakis should try them on first. They are VERY baggy with large legs and long rise and are worn very high waisted. (NOT for everyone) but the K1s are modern fitted (shorter rise) with the same great fabric. The best thing about the vintage chinos is that they were made kind of baggy fitting because they were designed really to be altered by a tailor for the individual. Every pair I have ever collected had excessive amount of extra material at the seams so they could be let out. Every pair I own have had the ass seam taken in to make them fit better.

Try WWII impressions. They do a repro chino that looks pretty good. Otherwise ebay for the real deal. I have been collecting WWII army chinos (Button fly with boatsail pocket liners) for years. I have probably 10 pairs and I also own a J crew pair and a pair of Bills Khakis. Neither of these very expensive khakis come close to the Lord and Galey Cramerton Army cloth chinos that I have collected over the years. Bill's claims that their are exact replicas of the WWII khaki and it just ain't so. The pocket liners are thin, the fit is wrong, the fabric feels stretchy and too light. My authentic WWII khakis are 50+ years old and I wear them starched to work about 3 times a week and they look better than the Bills or the JCREW. Try some 50s work pants, I collect them as well. I have several "LEE CHETOPA" with the Gripper Zipper from the 50s and they fit unbelievably well. Levis did a repro of a 50s work pant in the LVC line. I have a pair of the originals that this repro was made after and the repro is perfect. Try Aero Leather Clothing as well. They have a few of the Dockers "Cramerton Army Cloth button fly chinos. The cut is different from the originals (slimmer) but the fabric is dead on and well worth the asking price.

They have the black 8130s with the white sole on sale for 149.00 (reg 179.00) free shipping.
They only have 11.5 D but if that is your size they are the nicest thing going.
Red Wing does not really do mail order except for their WORKX line which are cheap looking.
I ordered the 8130s from the above link and I am very pleased with them. Can't imagine them having them long though for that price. They also have the oxblood colored ones on the same site (11.5 D) only.
That is the US site I know of that sells the MOC TOE original style Redwings.
Workingperson.com had some #875s for a while you might try them.

Shorthorn label. 1950s if it is not a repro.

Man, those are going be squared away when you wash them. Looks good. Did you starch these alot? Some people are kind of hard on starching but it does seem to work well. I have some 551zxx from LVC on their 1st month and the starching does seem to coax out he honeycombing. The starch I use smells really good and covers up some of the stink. Yes, after a month, mine kinda stink but I wear the hell out of them at my partime job at a steaming hot laudramat so I doubt I will be able to go 4 months without quarantining myself.

Pics?

If you shop at Old Navy you must be an American? Not all Americans are clueless about quality. Ahh, we sorta invented denim.

I am not keen on the honeycombing. That Levis tag looks weird but the cut looks right for 66s. No hidden rivets...that is correct. With those pics it is hard to tell but they look legit to me.

Selling these jeans, I have too many. Deadstock with all tags, of course unworn. Will let them go for $200.00. Very rare. Tag states 36x36 but they were hemmed by the LEVIS factory to a 34 length. Should shrink to about 34x32. Your absolute satisfaction and authenticity guaranteed. I would be happy to set these up on a auction on ebay if you would rather have the security of the transaction. However, I have 100% positive feedback. Let me know at:

I hear everybody saying LVC indigo is not a good as SC. I have just bought a pair of 501 "1955"s with the 555 on the top stamp and 1997 on the paper tags. These are definately Valencia ST. 501s from the first run (ebay). The indigo is nice but, not nearly as dark as either pair of my LVC 551zxx pair from the same year. So, the SC may be darker than the 501s but, I have seen the pics and they don't come close to my Preshrunk 551zxx pairs. I really have never seen 14 oz. denim so dark. I wore them to work and everybody kept swearing the were black. Regardless, I want some SC 47s anyway, they very nice.

There is no escaping it. I have tried. The only shirt I can tuck in my dry denim is black. Buy some black dress shirts or polos or navy blue.

At half the price of LVC they look 5 times cheaper to me. They fade marks are funky and totally fake looking. The selvage, well, it's there. I guess the cut isn't that bad , albeit "generic".

by the way...I share our sentiment toward the idiots comments on the waist size. Some of us ain't afraid of a damn SANDWICH.

Those definately are not LVC. The tag looks like they are STFs from the mid to late 1980s.
I am not keen on them, sorry.

kind of cool but damn..$$$ for 9oz denim

Not for nothin but that just sucks...It did not sound like anything there was worth dealing with. What the hell. Just stick to the OG deadstock stuff and do it right and I will keep buying it, but all this stuff that is already worn out....I just don't get it. I guess we want everything right now and have no patience for breaking in a pair of jeans properly. Not me though brother...when I buy a pair of jeans I don't want them already half way used up by sandpaper, they cost too much for that nonsense.

Curious... are people who particularly like dry denim more agressive and outgoing, active?

I mean it seems that you have to be to bust these damn hard ass jeans in. A sedentary lifestyle would not seem to mesh well with dry denim, unless you just want to always be able to strike matches on you jeans. Any correlation?
