  1. OK maybe a little chubby, but most of the body types that seem to be revered or this website are decidely underweight so I just wanted to comment that he is definately average on the real world scale and it appears that he could bench press alot of the people on this website regardless of his cheesy mustache.

  2. Trad....although my shit still looks pretty fresh. I never dry and always wash on cold. I take really good care of my clothes so they stay looking nice. I think that people that buy trendy stuff won't ever look out of style though because they pretty much get rid of everything when it goes stale. I admire that, I just could never keep up with it. I guess you have to really enjoy shopping and keeping up with it. I get my joy from scoring quality pieces at thrift and mixing it with nice repro denim. I like buying quality footwear but not athletic shoes but boots red wings etc. I also have a large collection of vintage WWII khaki pants and 1950s workwear pants. The levis workwear pants in the LVC collection, I have several pairs of originals in both the Lee and Levis versions with original Gripper Zippers. I love pairing these with nice polos and redwing boots.

  3. So, I am at the laundry mat where I work last night and we have a policy at closing time. Last load in at 10:00. This is so we can close on time. Well, this douch bag always comes in like 10:15 and wants to do his laundry and gives me a fucking hard time almost every Sun. night. He puts his shit in the washing machine and get this...he leaves to go get something to eat from next door. Well, his shit finishes washing and is just sitting in the machine and I am like ready to leave. Well, I locked up and left with his shit wet in the machine. Probably will get fired today but goddamn was it worth it. I went across the street and just sat in my car just to watch him pitch a fit a outside the laundry. He was so pissed he threw his drink against the door. Fuck, I am a real bastard sometimes.

  4. i want to move in with you guys..

That is reasonable but I just cannot live with 3 other people I don't care how big the house is and even if I could...sharing a bathroom is not an option for me at all. If you don't mind communal living though it sounds like your place is very nice indeed.

  5. My rent's $690 for a two-bedroom apt. in the Bronx, a 5-10 minute walk away from Fordham University, the Bronx Zoo, Botanical Gardens, Little Italy- nice neighborhood.

The building was built maybe 10 years ago, which means it is a baby compared to most of the 100+ year old buildings in NYC. We have 24 hr. security (which actually ends up being 20 hours most days, but hey...) and a laundry room in the basement.

I'm 10 minutes away from the 2/5 subway line, so I can make it into the east or west side of manhattan in about 30-45 minutes. Old italian ladies in the 'hood give me jars of sauce sometimes.

Basically, fuck Brooklynphiles, but please don't come gentrify my hometown. We still know how to shoot.

That sounds like a pretty sweet setup for that price. Much more realistic for someone of my means, NYC is great, I used to do contract work of Ernst and Young in Manhattan and I loved the atomosphere and can appreciate the appeal. I just could not pay the price to live there in good conscience.

  6. I have an extensive collection of WWII khaki pants flat front with button fly and Lee Chetopa work pants circa 1950s that I wear, usually with a polo or a white dress shirt tucked in. I wear either desert boots or redwings with them in black or blonde suede. Black or brown belt as needed. I wear my khakis with XXX heavy starch and they stay nice for several wearings. On cool days I will wear denim jacket (Lee Stormrider circa late 1960s) or one of many vintage light jackets. Simple and clean.

  7. I don't live in NYC but I can pick up my cell phone and order all of the above at anytime. I live 30 minutes from Dallas and my rent for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house is $550 a month and this includes garbage pickup and monthly landscaping and best of all, it is quiet when I lay down to sleep at night. I can afford to live by myself with all the room one could ever want and it is actually possible for me to save some money. I am not knocking you guys though, if living in NYC is that important to you then by all means continue, I just could never make someone else rich paying 1500k a month for an apartment that is the size of one of my walk-in closets.

  8. Having been stung numerous times by stingrays walking in the surf I can't imagine how painful it must have been to get it in the chest. Irwin was a little over the top for me but he was a serious conservationist and his efforts and enthusiam will be missed.
