  1. If you’re after a mainstream hip-hop club in NYC, then you can pretty much go to any of the "super-clubs" in the meat packing district.

Such as, Lotus, PM and Marque. But be prepared to deal with your typical meathead/jock dickheads along with those Barbie looking girls. Not to mention it will cost you to get in (unless you "know the promoter!" Lame!).

When I was there last year the only one of those clubs I could stand is a place called Hiro (on 16th and 9th) which doesn’t charge to get in. It used to be a real cool and small Rock and Roll bar, but they have expanded and are now doing that "hip-hop/rap/full of white kids" thing that everyone is doing. Hopefull they will return to the good old days. But it is fun sometimes I have to admit. Go on a Friday, Saturday for the big super massive mega nights or Tuesday and Thursday for the smaller nights. Sunday is boys night, so if you up for that check it out.

  2. When I'm in the USA middle states I go to some redneck cowboy super store and pick up some Levi 517's (I think that’s what number they are, otherwise go for what looks good and is dark denim) then head to a Wal-Mart or a Super Target and go for, ready write this down, Fruit of the Loom basic tag-less T-Shirts. They are the coots! They are like $3 and come in every colour under the sun! So far that’s like 40 bucks for 1 pair of jeans and 6 tees. You can also get some good Hanes boxer-briefs from Super Target or Wal-Mart real cheap to. If they are good enough for MJ then they are good enough for me. If they have some good plain Hanes ones at Wal-Mart then your in like Flynn. Be careful of the Champion ones, they are too baggy. Then grabs yourself some plain white Chucks or some eBay vintage Florsheim boots and you’re going to be looking like me! You won't get girls (In my experience anyway!) but you will be cheap and casual!

  3. Hey Guys,

Long time reader, first time poster. I am going to be in Tokyo along with 3 friends on about February 20, 2006 (in the freakin future man!).

I will be flying into TOKYO NARITA, staying two nights (don't know where yet, that’s what I'm asking) and then going snowboarding up north. I will be leaving and returning from TOKYO HANEDA airport. I will be then going straight home to Melbourne from TOKYO NARITA.

I am trying to figure out a good place to stay for 4 people (can be two rooms of two) in Tokyo that’s going to give me good access to both airports and still have good shops/food/bars.

Any suggestions? Some people have been saying Shibuya and Shinjuku are good places to be in. Any areas that you think would be good, plus in recommend hotels for maximum $150US per night per room?

    Thanks heaps for the help!
