Mido+Dior denim. It was running intermittently, so I took it apart and there was a screw missing in the movement. Found a screw the proper size from a spare AS movement and it’s been running good for the past few days.

After speaking to a watchmaker about my zodiacs, both of which had amplitudes in the 160s, and realizing that buying a bunch of cheap vintage watches wasn’t a good financial decision, I splurged on a new modern watch. Nothing fancy, but a Swiss auto chronograph. And the colors match my de rosa. Looking forward to getting it.

Apparently from 1972 thought not sure from a quick look at the labels how they determined that... anyhow it's well put together and will do the job nicely

There is a stock number that starts with DLA. Inside that will be a two digit number that tells the year.

Past vintage… goodwill find from yesterday 

Ended up finding a cheap solid link oyster cheap in 18mm… but, looks like the sea wolf is 11/16”. 17.25mm. Broke out a file and worked the end links till they just fit. It’s not correct, but I like it. 

Ok, this turned out to be cleaner than expected.

have a new one coming in today that I’m pretty excited about. What’s everyone’s preference for straps or aftermarket bracelets for dive watches?

What do you mean by late 66 small e? Big e went until 72 or so…

Speaking of birthdays, this was my gift to myself for 41 last year. I found the bike stock, and did a pretty much frame up rebuild with parts from the local co-op. The only parts that are original to the bike are the brake arms. It’s a lot of fun.

I started getting into watches recently, and it’s a part of the whole look. 

Also, it’s nice to have nice things to listen to music with. I re-foamed the speakers and they are amazing.

Couple other things that have kept me sane and happy thru the pandemic… 06 ash deluxe strat and goodsell unibox 10 amp.
