    sup mils..

is it still tt fucken cold in tokyo?

i was there exactly a month ago, and well, i was at narita when it got snowed in. FUCK.

well, just asking cos you look pretty bundled up. : P

  2. seriously, i've been wearing these skinny or slim fits since fucken 1999. so please, run of the mill fashion while it is motivated by runways for sure, doesnt determine your whole bloody wardrobe.

anyone who wants to tell me i am a poseur or what not, can come here to eat my punk ass.

and yes, skinny jeans have been a punk staple since sid vicious. so bite me.

  3. its hard to say what the most popular brands are in singapore..

i guess the majority of people in singapore go for levis, topshop, girls go with mango and zara, that kinda thing.

few are into the high fashion thing.

a growing number into the street nonsense, such as bape, bxh, etc.

not many people into niche labels. in case you are wondering, no apc in singapore.

there is a store called RedWolves selling evisu, red monkey, and a very few pieces of tsubis.

there is also a store called blackjack in forum which sells y3, maharishi, keanan dufty, but honestly, at the prices they sell their stuff, go on ebay and knock yourselves out.

i saw a pair of maharishi snopants at the store going for like SGD1200.... fuckeneh. i saw those exact same pants on ebay for like 60GBP BIN. so, IMO, they can fuck off.

    thats abt it.

oh, if you're into the street thing, theres this store in FEP called MIKLIO, which clears out their stock pretty regularly, the bape, undercover, nbhd go for abt 50% off during clearouts. so, you might wanna look at tt.

    out.

Thanks dude. It's just that the level of ignorance on this forum is just ridiculous. There are guys like Serge and ringring (hey guys, we are trying to get Styleforum.net up ASAP) who really know their stuff despite being amateurs, and guys like Richard and Kane and DENIMBAR ( check out the site in a few weeks when it is back up, and no offense to the industry guys and girls I didn't name, you're all invited too) who make really interesting posts. But the majority of posters seem to know nothing at all. I mean, I just get frustrated when someone asks about the fit of his jacket (see my post there,) and instead of checking out where the shoulder hits, and the sleeve lengths and taking into account where a flight jacket is supposed to hit at the waist, all the guy gets is a bunch of useless comments like "Lose some weight" (the guy didn't even look that big!)

And in the "Top 10 List" threads, I see a bunch of lists, generally of "du jour" brands that happen to be hot at the moment, with no comments about why they put the brand on the list. And the lack of imagination boggles the mind. I mean, for guys who live in sweatshirts, there was a surprising lack of mention for Loopwheeler in the lists. And for guys who are supposed to be hardcore "denimheads", where are the mentions for Samurai or Ironheart? Most guys can't even count to ten. And for guys that like "performance" clothing, where were the mentions of C.P. Company (the original lifestyle sportswear company) or 6876. And for dudes into Milsurp gear, where were the mentions of Griffin? The point of the excercise was not to list every brand you like, but to encapsulate your personal style in 10 brands only.

Maybe this is a good thing. I've been involved at some level in the business for about 10 years now, but never on the retail side, and definitely not in strictly streetwear stores, and I was never sympathetic to my friends who were forced to deal with hype-consuming morons who don't even realize it on a daily basis. I am now...

you sound like you want a good old superfuture styled flaming.

i dont think the jeans look awful, but hey, if you cant take criticism, then really man. do smth abt it.

opinions are an individuals right. so dont go round cyberspace implementing your discipline on every other style forum. please bro.. do some thinking.

    har har har har har.
  6. i tried on the 47 canes.. then went to APC to check out a pair of new standards (the made in japan ones) and i felt that i didnt really appreciate the canes as much as the APCs. so i got the latter instead. i dont regret it at all, but maybe someday, i'd like a pair of canes.

after reading so much about it, when i saw it, it didnt really strike me as much as i thought it would have.

    oh well, just my $0.02.

  7. hi. i usually wear a sz 29 in regular newer denim(lower cuts), eg, diesels, gstars, energies. but for the Sugarcanes, which i have been fortunate enough to try on last week, fit me perfectly in a 31. perfect as in: they were tight, where i usually wear my jeans. i like to wear them around my hip usually, but for these, they were tight just sllightly above my hip. legs and all were fine, and i think i have a pretty big ass, and legs.

i hope this info helps all you heads out there. i think the canes are true to size, from wht i could see. 31 should be a 15.5" waistband across, at least it felt that way.

    good luck!

  8. i just think robin williams is just seriously fucking cool.

he does what he wants, and i dont think he really gives a fuck about what other people think. plus, hes just so funny it hurts.

"and how will i steer? i will do kegels!!!"

  9. ^^ :|

i starch my raw denim this way:

spray a shit load of starch behind the knees, and at the crotch, run over it quickly, QUICKLY, with a hot iron, then put them on right away. you will be able to feel the dampness from the starch.

then what i do, is sit cross legged in front of my computer watching a DVD or whatever , they'll be dry before you know it, and there will be some awesome creases too.

    peace.
