Have you tried playing with your seat angle? I know when the angle wasnt right for me I felt alot of pressure on my hands and I would feel fatigued in my arms. However, when I adjusted the seat angle it took alot of pressure off my pressure. Also, if you are feeling stretched, maybe look into pushing your seat forward or backwards. Another thing too would be stem length.

WIth bullhorns, skids are so much easier when you're riding in the actual horn part anyway.

i would have to disagree. ive ridden ridden flip and chops, bullhorns, riser bars, and drop bars. i found that drop bars were easiest to skid with my hands on the top contour section. im not gonna knock bullhorns just yet, i want to try a shorter stem/bullhorn setup when i get the chance to see if i can get the same effect that i have with drops.

its a touring bike, its geometry will be hella relaxed. i find a relaxed geometry makes the skidz difficult.
