  1. just waiting on Chrono Trigger for DS... it's the one game that I've really been pining for.

fell off of the gaming bandwagon once I got a job and consequently learned to appreciate the outdoors more.

  2. im gonna email gordon... thinking that it wouldnt hurt to extend the time till the end of november. i doubt it will make that much of a difference in the results.

if anyone feels differently, please let me know.

Not that I really care since I'm salaryman status, but I was always under the impression that the contest was going to end that day no matter what. This was decided to make the contest uniform in some way because it would be impossible to measure a year's wear time for everyone.

    my 2 cents

  3. ^ it's more of an overall assessment I'm looking for. Are they any good? Comfy? How does the sizing go? And what's a fair price for them? I've heard that some of them were done by C&J, but I'm assuming those are more rare these days

here's one example I was looking at the other day (not my size, but you get the idea):

  4. Evisu Sample Sale from Today to Sunday:

The Evisu sale offers 50 to 90 percent off the brand's signature denim, hoodies, shirts, dresses, and outerwear, plus several exclusive pieces. Through 10/26. 440 Broadway, nr. Grand St.; 11–7.

  5. New Yorkers:

Has anyone ever gone to one of their sample sales? Are they any good?

  6. Not to be a debbie downer, but I can't imagine that you'd be able to knock much off of the price of cordo... I've found that most cordo shoes maintain just about the same price (probably owing to the fact that it is really only produced in a select few places).

Still, you'd be able to build it to your guys' specs which may be a better deal overall.

  7. ask me about warehouse, i got here about 2 times a week.

First of all, jealous! I love warehouse...

What can you tell us about the newer DD's (i.e. the ones with the leather patches instead of sticthing for the pockets?) how do they compare to the older DD's? and are they planning to phase out the older DD's in favor of the newer ones?

also, how do the new warrens fit compared to the SuFu/Dubbleworks 660?

  8. I own the 1920's and the 1930's and judging from your taste in jeans (you're the one with the crazy Warehouse Leepros, right?), I think you'd enjoy the DD's better. I haven't seen the Warrens in person, but I think they're pretty similar to the 1001, denim-wise.

DD's have this great slubby fabric that has a nice soft hand but isn't so slubby that it's practically corduroy (like PBJ's). The styling is also a lot more aggressive on DD's, which really makes it feel like something special. Which model are you looking into?

Edit: oh yeah, and in my experience (as well as from the pair above), they fade fairly slowly and not so contrasty... it's more of a greyish blue. They stay pretty dark for a while.

  9. FANTASTICO!

I'm glad that you escaped the grind of midtown manhattan and are out in the country air...

It's funny, some of the architecture reminds me of places in the Philippines (e.g. the bricks in that shot of Park Ave.) Geographically, Okinawa is not so far from the Philippines, so that's not surprising (and I'm guessing to a limited extent, the same is true for culture).

Please keep the pictures and great entries up... this is such a treat for us all. SUGOI!

  11. I think that makes sense. It certainly corresponds with how the cuts look like online.

Is the Lot 0331 the unsanforized version of the Heritage cut? If I'm understanding correctly, most of the US range is the Lot0001 cut you mentioned.
