  1. you go go to canal, but I personally never tried, i thought most people would go to flushing, ny to get deals.

anyhow, if it is a gsm phone, it will work with any carrier if it is unlocked which they should be able to use any provider's sim card. However if it is locked, you can have it unlocked at that store most likely. Next, even if the sim card works and phone turns on, make sure it has the right bands / frequencies 800/900/1800/1900 that fit your area....

I recommend getting a tri-band phone or quad band phone if none of this makes sense to you.

  2. i have the old school one, but it's multi purpose and works great.

forget the brand but it's cheap and reliable. it has a lid and you put a pot in where you put the rice but you also put water on the bottom of the rice cooker.

the ones you guys are mentioning, you don't put water on the bottom of the pot.

that i personally feel is the best taste and results for rice, and cheaper. but ofcourse there is no such button as fast cook or anything

  3. yea, one size down would be great if you want more crinkling or glove effect of how it molds from your body since it's tighter...but you shouldn't get too many sizes too tight because it might just look weird.

there was this one buy w/ some apc's on another post that wore his apc too tight, there was the wrinkling effect, but just sorta looked out of place...IMO

  4. you probably mean close your eyes and touch it....

for me, i like the way the leather looks...is it crinkly, or smooth w/o wrinkles

and how it feels, tough or soft.

usually the really nice leather are soft but can be wrinkled or not, just depends on your taste

  5. also, the jeans did not have any show of the brand.

the yohji were cool if you try them on, there was some sort of sweatpants material inside the pant leg, hard to describe. From just looking at them you wouldn't know they were from yohji, unless you know their collection

the prada ones, there is a belt loop that says prada, the rest of it you couldn't tell if they are from prada or not, but they are very straight leg, and inseam was 36in? too long for me even if cuffed.

the pair at space was selling for $140 from $280, original was 500 something. The button that was missing is just a regular button (not metal) so it shouldn't be hard to replace if you plan on buying them, or you could ask the people at space to give you the button that comes with the pair there.

  6. Hi,

I was at woodbury outlets past weekend, and saw the yohji yamamoto selvage jeans size 3 at off saks 5th.

looks great, however the length was a little short. size 3 is about a 34 waist but the length was too short, probably a 30 length.

and at neiman marcus last call, saw the prada half selvage size 50EU/34US. it was a really nice pair, one of the buttons was missing, and it was a bit too straight legged for me. I saw the same pair at space (miu miu & prada store) had the same pair of jeans for much more.

anyhow, letting people know if you want to get a pair, there was only 1 pair within the store, it caught my eye because of the hard shiny fabric of selvage jeans.

I was going to take pictures, but felt a bit odd doing something like that in a store.

  7. by metro or car?

gtown pretty much on M street and along that strip you'll find all you need, not many shops are hidden so it's self explanatory for gtown.

restaurants are pretty good there as well, i would recommend going to the waterfront, across from the movie theater in gtown (walk towards the water) there is a thai restaurant there. There are many in the area.

what do you mean by good girl shops, what kind of items? I'm assuming you don't want to see the common brands you see in the mall....

  8. yea, my first pair of premium denim was a pair of LTD paper denim, before the J-stich came out on the back pocket.

I think the older version are nicer, and it's a great collectors, as some washes no longer exist.

as you start somewhere, you come to realize how other jean companies treat their denim, the quality, attention to detail, and the fit.

but once you go towards premium jeans, you tend to spend more and more, something that is probably a big no no to my savings, but when you see a great pair, the price just doesn't seem to matter too much anymore because you like them and they'll stay with you for years and years.
