I was about to sell mine but the buyer was asking too many questions. I've decided to keep it and upon closer scrutiny, I'm beginning to like it. A bit loose, definitely not the slim-fit cut people here prefer but the denim like the above poster said, is AWESOME!
Maybe another soak would shrink the thighs a little bit more. Also, the inseam doesn't shrink that much and I'm gonna have them hemmed (together w/ my S5000BK & FH 5100XX) at Take5 when I go there by the end of the month.

i guess like a standard 1947 repro? similar to my SC Edo Ai....I got a size 34 RAW. I normally wear a 33. There's lots of room for shrinkage. Yep, the denim is really, really nice.
Mods, please edit my title. should just be: TRIPLE X - thanks!

^^^what he said but for me, i don't care too much if it fades fast enough because the color as it is, is nice. A truly innovative pair of jeans that could be on your rotation once every so often to break the monotony of regular fading jeans. Definitely a must for the collector.

I think it's cause the 21 oz 510's run a whole size smaller....

Sorry gimme, haven't had time to post fit pics but I will as soon as...
Yeah, it looks like the gold buttons will age well and you won't even notice them. The dark denim is very intriguing and I'm very curious how these will fade vs. the VX or all the other Samurai models....

They do seem to run extremely small. I saw them in Bangkok (Trenner, Lee & Na) but in one wash and they had my size. I'm getting them raw in size 34 with an inseam of 36". I normally wear a 33 and I'm hoping that I could cold soak them to minimize shrinkage.
The fabric of these really caught my attention the way the Oni's did when I first saw them in Ueno. It looks slubby but not as slubby but the feel is very different from all my other jeans.
I'll post pics when I get them which will be in a day or two...

working on my S510XX AI-N....seems like not a lot of sufus are digging these. Anyone with update pics? This is the pair of jeans I have that bleeds the most. Little contact with water and I get smurf hands. I'm loving the fit and it's rigid enough to get creases easily. Now to wait for the fading to happen.....
Samurai claims that these are natural indigo dyed jeans that will fade quickly. I've given up on my other naturals and hope that these will have contrast fades the same as synthetics. Probably in a month or so I'd be able to post worthy pictures.

ah... Wabi-sabi... It's what make jeans alluring - to find beauty in imperfection.

I heard momotarou jeans or probably just the 81,000 yen ones never fade.
