Cheers for the info.
Looks like it has sold now, this was the jacket
Levis Vintage Clothing 1936 506 XX Denim Jacket XL 50" Type 1 LVC Big E 506XX | eBay
There's a good close up of the pocket but can't see any traces and if they've resown it they've done a very good job.
I actually like the idea of a jacket without a tab given that is more authentic but wouldn't be as keen if a previous owner has removed it.
Bit big for a sample I think although that would make sense.
To answer Maynard; I love type 2s but they don't really fit me sadly. I think I can *just* get away with the USA version, unwashed. However I still need to shift some timber for it to look better, and I definitely prefer the length of a type one.
I have a couple of type ones but one is miles bigger than anything I've seen recently, I also have a very heavily washed type one with no label that fits me great but can't find an unwashed version.

I am looking at a type one jacket on eBay.
Seller says it it is from 2007, and that they believe it was made without a red tab.
I believe Levis didn't start putting the tab on jackets until later, but having looked through catalogs I can't see a version without a red tab.
Jacket is labelled as made in Turkey but I suspect the tab has been removed by someone.
Anyone heard of a type one without a tab?

They are all size 44.
Definitely keeping at least one but will probably sell one or both of the others,TBH I'd be hoping for a bit more than £35 though

It was marked up at £45 but when I went to pay it came up as £35, plus because I bought all 3 they had one was 50% off so £87.50 for 3.
No idea how these made it to the outlet let alone the clearance rail.
Had the grey sweatshirts for £35 too but I've already got similar Buzz Ricksons and Real McCoy's that are also slightly too small. Had the black hoodie with the 2 separate pockets too.

Apologies as I feel like I have asked this before (but I can't remember the answers, going back and checking now )...favorite Paraboot retailers?
Just looking for the Michael in lisse café or nubuck gringo (or maybe the Reims loafer as well) size 45.
I remember it being mentioned that buying from the UK or EU is the best bang for your buck and I'm confident in my sizing. The Modern Draper have your size and ship to the US, 20% off this weekend with EASTER20
Works out around $400

Picked up this Big E shirt today, amazing condition given its probably 50 years old.
Too small for me sadly but still couldn't pass it up.

Did you get them new or used? Don't ever remember seeing them in the UK.

The thing is when you look at both jackets the arms look to be similar proportions.
However the body is quite a bit longer in the modern remake so the arms are actually far too long.
The really annoying thing is I also have a 557 repro and the arms on that are a bit short, if it were possible to average out the arms they'd be perfect

I rang Rivet and Hide today to ask if they can chainstitch the cuffs to shorten the arms but turns out you need a different machine/attachment for that and they can only do hems.
So either try again with hotter water, get them shortened by a standard tailor or just live with it.

So a hot soak didn’t help with the arms on my 70505.
Think I need to get them tailored, looking at the remake the cuffs look to be chainstitched, however I don't think the original was chainstitched?

Collection just released on their UK website.
Hard not to be better than the laughable 90s collection but nothing great again.
One nice looking jacket in an on page ad but can't see it for sale?
Also notice they now only go up to 36" waist so wouldn't be able to buy any even if I wanted to.
Weird that a US brand is doing much more limited sizes than many Japanese brands but I guess LVC is on it's last legs nowadays so maybe makes sense.

You can try the targeted hot soak of the arms. I have the same jacket, and I find the fit perplexing.
A slightly weird thing is that I can't find anything showing what factory this was made in?
Nothing on the buttons and nothing on the inner labels, although there is a tear-off Made in USA tag.

Need some advice on the new jacket please.
Fit is perfect on the body but arms are too long.
If I give it a cold soak, then put just the arms in much hotter water for a bit is this likely to shrink the arms a bit and not much body wise or is it going to cause any issues I haven't thought of`?
It's still crispy atm but don't mind it being softer.

Picked up an LVC 70505 0217 from eBay and thought I'd do a couple of comparison pics with my original vintage one. Both labelled as size 46 but the new version is much longer.7
