  1. Clearing out room for new jeans, and honestly - I haven't worn a lot of these in years. Few pairs from when I first got into denim '04ish. I'm broke, I live in a neighborhood where gunshots go off every few nights and I need new parts for my motorcycle - help a brother out and buy some jeans. Please ask questions - please send me your money. Reference-wise I've never sold anything on here before but I bought some jeans off Beatle, she can give you my address to come find me.

Prices include shipping the continental USA.

First up: Levis RED Billy Bob. I bought these off ebay in 04 I believe. I don't know a whole lot about them - but they are not selvage. Worn and washed a bunch, got some paint blemishes here and there. Baggier fit, cool suspender button hookups on front and back.

Next up, some A.P.C. Rescues that were too big and I got impatient on. Worn a bit - washed a few times, haven't been touched since 06 probably. Tagged 34. Tons of life left in them.

Last, and my favorite pair: Sugar Cane 1947. Tagged 32x34. Got these mid 07, worn for about 5 months before the first wash. Worn and washed a bunch up through 08 then put them away. Still get occasional use, have gorgeous fading and may have motorcycle grease on them. I love these jeans. Again, a lot of life left in these guys. Will rewash upon buyer request if you're shook of some man grease.

    Thanks for looking!

  2. Roy Slaper took the time to answer one of my inane questions a few days ago through email. I'm just excited to see how his line evolves, he deserves success for being a good, honest craftsman. Bums me out I missed out on his initial run - as stupid as it is I took too long to pick and distill a quote short enough to have him stitch it on the pocket bag.

In any case, dude is super nice and his product is high quality made right in the USA. There's something about that that I think more people should be paying attention to: someone in the states making jeans tough and correctly.

  4. Terrible analogy. You have to pay for your tattoos, so you have to pay for your pussy too? You're right, I have never had the problem of deciding between which perfect 10 to give my money to. In any case, good luck with the tattoo.

Thread has been sidetracked enough. Everyone should look at Javi Rodriguez's work because it's on point.

  5. Blood Meridian, probably my favorite book ever written. So fucking good. Have not found anything that can really capture the rawness and violence of human nature as the book does. In The Rouge Blood is kind of a bootleg Blood Meridian, about 2 kids shooting and fighting their way around the south set in about the same time period, look it up. You could always go deeper into the actual book by reading My Confessions by Sam Chamberlain. He was part of the real Glanton Gang at some point and a lot of the events McCarthy wrote about are based off of this book.

The only other book that compares for me, and not all that directly, is Moby Dick. So if you haven't read that, I would highly suggest it.

I'd love to hear other people's suggestions as well.

Currently reading Run With the Hunted by Bukowski. If you've never read Bukowski and have only heard bad things about him being a drunk and a womanizer this is the perfect book to get an idea of what he's all about. It takes pieces from his novels as well as his collections of poetry and lays them out in a somewhat linear path of his life. Raw and observant and awesome. Dude did his thing, really taught me that you can live a full life without a whole lot of anything besides the head on your shoulders.
