I don't get what's so good about the Ai001. Definately not my taste, way too slubby. I would rather have the Jomons or the XX003

No, they are not ruined. Spilling water is no problem at all. That's a denim myth, and it's false.

This may be considered off-topic, but it's related to shopping.
When using Paypal to send money to someone, supposing you only have an X amount in your account, and you want to pay the rest of the value by credit card, can you use the X amount + the rest by credit card on the same payment? Is this automatic?
Or does one need to either pay all by credit card or to make two separated payments, one with the X amount, the other with the rest of the value by credit card?
Thanks

I think the whiskers look just right. Too much of them sometimes give them a fake look.
Maybe a hot soak with natural soap?

20 years, Studio D'Artisan. Quality and fit (SD-xx3) seems good enough.

for quality denim there are these 'Flat Heads', which you may be able to buy from Japan through our friend xcoldricex

john11f,
why do you think the sorahikos may have better indigo fading over the long term?

awesome denim!

I think that's the normal fading you get in that time. The Japanese galleries show some crazy wear, like they take one month for the wear we get in 3 months. To get fast wear you have to be REALLY active all the time. 6 months is usually not nearly enough to get a good fade. You need 1 or 2 years.

Post some pics of the pbj too.

Full Count makes some really nice slim black jeans. There's a topic somewhere, use the search button to find it.

what obsessis said, that is, keep reading.
when you're very sure about it you can make a well informed purchase.
save your money for now... no hurry, you've already got some jeans to break in, and it takes a lot of time.

bulletproof starch recipie

for stiffer results, soak them in starch, let them dry fast (in the sun? I guess it's no big deal) then starch them again and dry again and so on... after some 3 or 4 times they should be as stiff as raw denim.
