I would prefer it more understated. The general look without the silly details looks good though.

have you seen the size charts for all three models on the Full Count site? they have measurements like front rise size, thigh size, leg opening size, hips size, etc. In Japanese, but it's not that hard to figure it out.
if you need further help on it please pm me.

we had those at my work for $85
they're not the same price as the one I'm selling, are they?
because the price changes from one model to the other, as you can see on the SC site.

I think these are not for sale in the US. Black in lamb leather, size 42 EU = size 9 US.

They're brand new, I bought them for € 95 + € 16 (shipping) (€ 111 = $141), they didn't fit me so I'm selling them for $85 (shipping included).

Here is a list of terms:
http://wornjeans.atspace.us/glossary.html
I selected important words from those sites and made some descriptions myself. Please work on the descriptions, they are poorly written and incomplete. Add more words if you have any, and delete what you find unimportant. Should it be made in a new thread linked to this one? Maybe other people could also add to the descriptions?

I successfully bleached jeans white without weakening the fabric. I think if the jeans are good quality selvage they won't get too damaged. After you get the ecru color you can just paint them white.

whoop'ee' model 9643. I'm afraid they are sold-out though.
these are kind of similar: http://www.rakuten.co.jp/whoop/703631/708642/

I gave my SD103's a cold soak and a rinse a couple of days ago, I think they lost exactly no color at all.
yeah, the darkness of the color is a strong point of the dartisans. don't need to be afraid of water.

let's make a dictionary with technical terms. there are many on Japanese sites and denim mill's sites with hundreds of terms. we should have our own here in English, in a separate thread but linked here. my English is not perfect so I think I shouldn't make it myself. I will post some links to existing dictionaries:
http://home1.inet.tele.dk/bcm/glossary.htm
http://denim-gallery.heavy.jp/denim-words/
http://jeanslabo.s33.xrea.com/
http://www.samurai-j.com/samurai/denim_dic.html
http://www.fabriclink.com/dictionary.html
http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=9640
I feel the Styleforum's Denim Terminology and Links topic is VERY incomplete, especially for people who already know a thing or two about denim. So I think we should make our own glossary.

try those Walmart jeans, those are *hot*. Then you get some bleach and do some whiskering art with a brush.

thanks... look forward to see your pics. Do people get that "Super Moderator" thing when they reach 2,000 posts? ^^

D'Artisans sd-103... they're 8 months and worn every day. washed first at 3 months, and then every month or 2. since they started out almost black the color is still dark.
they are actually darker than that. here are more pics:

I would buy Full Counts for $250. In fact that's what I plan to buy in the future. The 1108 model is a bit on the tight side and the 1101 is a bit on the regular/large side. The 1105 is loose 1953 Levis. I'm planning to go for the 1101. I think a comparison to Nudie would be 1108 = Slim Jim; 1101 = R Ralf; 1105 = L Frank (this is very uncertain, though). Here's why I think you should buy Full Count:
1. They have the best cotton in any Japanese brand. I know 45rpm uses Zimbabwean organic cotton too, but Full Count cotton is picked only once a year, while I think 45rpm uses cotton picked twice a year. So the cotton Full Count uses is longer.
2. Because of the organic nature of the cotton and the natural oil of the cotton, the jeans fade in the most natural way just like the old vintage jeans. Some experts say Full Count fades the best.
3. They are known to be cut very confortably when compared to other Japanese repros.
4. They are woven in adjusted low tension just like some of the 45rpm. This makes them softer and more uneven.
The price is some $205. It's pretty good. Add to it the shipping costs, etc.
As for sizing, from what I have read they shrink approx. to size, just like other Japanese denim, so you'll probably want to go down 2 sizes to account for the stretching. E.g. for a 34" waist you buy tag size 32. The inseam, however, is not very long, so it's a shame for the tall people, it's 33 I think. You can ask the Bears store to hem it using chainstitch.

I think it's a low price. Here's another one, $2,000+ :

I try to picture someone really big wearing these

if 34 is the size you wanted, after they shrink they'll stretch back to 34 real soon.

partytaco,
this topic is getting long... you can create a new one for like "already worn jeans and only native Japanese brands" (though this seems a bit elitist?)

the sd003 is 8 months or so... I may post some pics later

Hawk, your jeans look very nice!

yeah, the jeans. their price is only about $60 and they're selvage, ringring, and all... I've emailed them asking whether they have hidden rivets or not and whether they ship worldwide or not.

yes... trying to find out whether they have hidden back pocket rivets or not... hehehe

there's a japanese online store called "unpluged" or so, they sell some jeans from a brand called "the ne" which seem to be acceptable and for a very low price (on sale). getting it through a buying service (Juno, Celga, djrajio, etc.) would still be a great deal.
