Levi's created the denim nerd.

all denim has a selvedge whether it is used as a side seam or not.

low profile: Yes. Living in the bay area with all of it's microclimates is the reason. The weather can change 10-15 degrees in 10 minutes and/or 5 miles.
kilimanjaro: the velcro loop is undone, the sleeve is pushed up, and attached to the velcro cuff (I'm pretty sure it's a mil spec for a shooting advantage).

LVC stays LVC.
Premium is Cap E
Red is now lower priced, but still "directional".

I wouldn't put the 3rd arm I have really in the messenger bag category...

I can't remember what the model number is, but the bag that I have is a little different (I believe there are 3 styles: the one above, mine (based off of their original design), and a bigger, deluxe version of steph's, which BTW, is INCREDIBLE..and BIG).
I think mine may have a little more room than steph's, not sure, but I carry mine EVERYWHERE, and I am usually carrying an ibook, a hardcover sketchbook, 2 digi-cams, at few cds/dvds, various chargers/firewires/etc...extra battery, glasses case, a beanie (acr of course), and various other small stuff that lives in the bottom (bills, pens, a shoelace (?), gum)....and mine is not as flat as steph's
here's a pic of mine:

i WISH i designed this stuff (I have met both Errolson and Michela, the main two people behind ACR), and they have unrivaled patternmaking skills...I think some of their earlier stuff, or Errolson's work for others (Recon, Burton, Arcteryx) even exemplifies his patternmaking skills even more....
the velcro loop is to make the arms shorter, you can pull up the sleeves and velcro the cuff adjusters....that's actually taken from some true military designs....

main center front zipper: pullit all the way up, and it splits for a quick-escape.

I've never tried on the airvantage vest, it looks a little too body armor-ish for me....

Picked up the SS-J2 ( schoeller 3XDRY softshell zip-hoody)yesterday, with a couple more pieces set aside for later consumption. Again, Errolson and Michela fucking killed it!!!
The Jackets are amazing, as usual, and the new bags are soooo NOICE!
This stuff is gonna go QUICK, even at the premium pricepoint.
