  1. They don't call it "Old Slavery" for Nothin' (I know if you interview(ed) in SF, it's an Old Navy position). I know MANY people in the design department @ Gap/Old Navy, and have heard a couple of things:

BIG egos with the higher ups. Can cause some frustration if you are a senior designer or below...

Everyone who I know that works there works ALOT. Over 50 hours a week.

A few people that I know that work there say it's a really fun place to work.

Qutie a few people moved over to Gap from Levi's when they moved back out to SF. A LOT of them came back after a year or less.

    Hope this helps.

  2. not too much for me this year,

    Red Wing 8130

    Black Base Control tee

    Five-O tee

What It Is Rhino Funk Compilation

Om Variations on A Theme CD

    Sony 30G HD Camcorder

    CampbellsXAndy Warhol soup cans

    Ricky Bobby DVD

    A dehumidifier

  3. Just got my GT J-11 (the blazer style) yesterday, and it fuckin' ROCKS. Definitely a new direction for ACR. Prices ARE pretty retarded, so I limit myself to one piece per season. These jackets are cut slimmer than the less "fashion" styles, so, yeah, the XL fits more like a Large, and slimmer cut through the sides.

    Another amazing season.

The zip hoodies and Epic cotton jackets are going to be available at Recon SF VERY soon. Don't know if they have out them out on the floor yet.

  4. Although I love both (w)taps and Acronym, and although they are both military influenced. They a kind of apples and oranges. Designs are drastically different, fabrics are drastically different. Quality for both, IN GENERAL, is on point. I do have to say though that I have had a few pair of (w)taps BDU's that have ripped in the same exact spot, and have seen it happen to others in the same exact spot: wearer's right back side to the left of the back pocket flap.

  5. Anyone that has access to the site and posts pics is in jeapordy of not being able to order, or retain future access to the site, so I, for one will not be posting pics.

BUT, the "blazer" that is on the site for Sring 2007 is very similar to the jacket, if not the same, as the one coming out for Fall 2006. Can't wait for that one.

As far as the bags go, I would HIGHLY recommend them. Incredible quality, and unique.

ACR is definitely not for heads that have low bank account balances. Consider the brand an investment. i have nothing but compliments for Errolson & Co.

  6. The Bayon wasn't toooo bad, I went there first thing, but Ta Phrom(sp?) was packed and Angkor Wat was, well, as you'd expect by the end of the day, as I was leaving it was CRAZY crowded. I need more than one day there next time, but it was an AMAZING experience. I was psyched that I went by myself and not with any kind of group, I feel emotionally/ spiritually different after the visit...and I'm not that kind of person.

It's DEFINITELY zoo'd out...there needs to be some regulation.
