I have the Denime 66 Black and it ain't that slim. It's 501 style anti-fit all the way. I'll grant it's slimmer than a 55 cut, but just size up one if you're worried about it.

I wouldn't buy ANYTHING from China off of ebay.

They look pretty dirty to me man. Wash them already.

They look pretty tight in the waist, no? They will shrink an inch or two in the waist, so I'd be wary of that. Otherwise, nice jeans!

Those Johnbull's look great on you. I've been trying to pick a slim jean and I've been debating between the xx-005 and the samurai 505, but those johnbulls are maybe closer to what I'm looking for. The super low rise of the pbj is not ideal for me, and the samurai is maybe not quite slim enough. How is the rise on the sc003? Looks to be about medium, yeah?

If you soak them after you wear them, they melt.

Those don't look as slim as a NS to me - more like a 66 cut. Maybe it's just me.

Can anybody describe the cut of the SC003? The BIG site says it's a 1966 cut - is it a true repro cut like that, or is it more modern. I have some Denime 66's, and those are fine but I don't want another pair that's too similar to those.

Here's one vote in favor of stitch removal. I would do the same thing, and I did do it to my SD-105's.

Nice jeans by the way. I almost got those myself before I settled on the sd's. I'm still considering it, but the xx-005's from BIG are now cheaper and easier to get, so that will probably be the route I go.

When comparing to a NS fit, remember that the NS runs about 2 sizes large. If you only go up 1 from your NS fit, you are still "sizing down" one from true.

I own the 66 Black, just got it about a month ago. They shrink to tagged size, without a doubt.

I'm a true 34 with skinny legs. I wear a 31 Rescue and it isn't tight at all in the legs or seat and I need a belt to keep it up.

can someone please explain to me why everyone gets a hole near the ankle? i'm not seeing any wear there on mine, and i just don't get it. i personally am glad for the lack of a hole, so i'd kinda just like to know what to keep not doing...

It comes from heel of your shoe stepping on the bottom rear of the jeans leg. This happens if the jeans are slightly too long and the ankle is wide enough to fall past your shoes.

I don't think anyone has the xx-005 yet, and you are one of the few to have the eternal tiger so far, so you might have to wait a while for a true comparison. I suspect the xx-005 is slimmer from looking at the measurements, but I'd consider a different cut if I were you. the xx-004 and sd-105 both look great.

They may be shaped like the New Standard, but I doubt that they run 2 to 3 sizes large like the NS. You might want to change your order if it isn't too late.

Anyone know what Blue in Green is charging for the XX-003? Should be the same for the XX-005.

I'm in the Geowu school - I like to wash them when they're dirty. They tend to come out nice anyways. The caveat is that I hand wash and line dry whenever possible. I've seen some beautiful vintage 501s from the 40's that have great character and I seriously doubt that they were obsessively not-washed to create the effect. Another thing is that I like my jeans just after a wash, when they're shrunk and clean. If I wash them every month or two, I get to have them in that clean state more often.

My 47s shrunk down to 2" smaller than tagged size. Mine are about 7 or 8 years old though, so I'm not sure if they're made the same way now.

Exactly - I have the Rescue in 31 and it measures 36 at the waist after stretching. You could go to a 32 or 33 if you want a baggy fit. They won't stretch much in the waist if they are already too big for you, but you will need a belt to keep them from falling.
