  1. AA is good.

I like plain t shirts and was having a rough time finding good one that didnt cost $50. A few years back I must have hit about 5 stores looking for a plain navy-blue t shirt. Gap had some wierd blue color that season, fonally bought at Kmart about $6 each. quality was ok, cotton was fairly stiff. Also bought a few Hanes from walmart while at the beach a few summers ago, better cotton...

but overall AA is my favorite, when I need a few t-shirts I know they have the plain shirts, good cotton, right colors without having to go to kmart or walmart which are completely hit or miss... There may be room for improvement, but I have been happy.

  3. I just went to Montreal a month ago, unfortunately I came back without any shop reccomendations. There is a major retail street downtown with lots of chain stores, dept stores all on one street. Then there are a few streets with smaller independant shops, honestly I wasnt inspired. The one shopping area I was intrigued by but didnt get a chance to explore during operating hours was this one street of antique shops, seemed like lots of interesting european stuff...

  4. around Philly: Village Thrift, mostly in bad neighborhoods. VF seems to buy the clothes in bulk: from rag dealers.? so the mix of stuff can be good... they are big always seem to be in an old supermarket. I prefer the Germantown location... I used to buy stuff here and resell it to a friend who had a boutique with a small sampling of vintage stuff... the place is dirt cheap, and you have to keep going there regularly... Also a location just over Benfranklinbridge.
