  1. I think that popcorn place in Harajuku is the only one killing it.  Theres like 3 in Roppongi Hills where they're practically giving away cups to ppl and they're dead.  Robuchon panya in Roppongi Hills is pretty fucking ill.

  2. I see Alec Baldwin every other morning walking his dogs and our dogs sniff each other but he never says hi or look at you.  He's turning into the crazy old neighbor hood guy who walks around in pajamas and kinda mumbles to himself cept he has a hot yoga instructor wife.

  3. I didnt buy any jawns either, even though this is the first time I've been before the holidays and shops are fully stocked.  I think I'm just bored and I am in Japan pretty often, so I dont have that urgency to impulse buy.  Also most of the stuff I see at iseitan men's I can buy fairly cheaply in NY during sales.  Well I did buy 3 pairs of camo socks and some curry from Kitano Ace which has the biggest selection of package curry in Tokyo.

I really wanted to cop a new rice cooker that simulates a kamado. Saw one thats only 3.5 cup for Y111,800.

Also beside the united arrows shops, how do the marunouchi shops stay in business they're pretty dead.

  4. Tsukiji isnt worth it.  You can go to some place like Sushi Iwa for lunch for the same price as some of the Tsukiji line up places.  Actually the places in Tsukiji with no lines like the tempura, aji fry and yoshoku places are pretty good.

    Go to Butagumi for Katsu

  5. The labeling and branding make it look like their other collaborations.  Quick google says PBJ doesnt own the trademark, thats pretty shady of Uniqlo.

"PBJ can’t do anything legally as they don’t own the international trademark for the name, they operate under Syoaiya Ltd. instead. Uniqlo can claim ignorance, yet someone at the company had to have known of PBJ’s existence. Simply Googling “Pure Blue Japan†brings up a host of information about the brand."

  6. Yeah it was, just like the little kid in a earlier episode poking a dead horse on the street with a stick. This period drama is very much set in a time where basic hygiene / general health info was an afterthought

My question - how is the ambulance guy and the nun"splitting" the abortions? Presumably because they're able to sell off the dead bodies, but to whom? They were burying caskets but it's not like cemeteries are looking for people??

The hospitals and medical universities bought the bodies to experiment and practice on.  I think it was covered in an another episode they experimented on pig carcasses but it wasnt as good as human corpses.

  7. Kinda aggravated lately cuz a guy I know got into reddit's style shit

Wears ocbds literally every day and thinks he's hot shit

Says things like "NBs are ugly", "your t shirt looks like a girl's scoop neck" and "uniqlo sweatpants are my dream"

Saw him last week and he's in an ocbd with badly pinrolled pants into flip flops; looked really awkward

Also he tutors 10 hours a week or some shit and he calls it "his job"/"work" (has a bachelors from NYU). Fuck outta here

Man, I need to chill sometimes tho

Seeing reddit mfa types really makes me miss and appreciate urahara style that was all over SUFU and my neighborhood almost a decade ago.

Also tell him and his NYU friends not to sit on my fucking steps.

  8. 2nd ep of the strain was slightly better.  Still some wtfs like ppl dont notice bloodshot eyes and super pale faces, canceling an autopsy of 200+ bodies, nobody checks the morgue, nobody gives a fuck about a body with a smashed head.

  9. Anyone got a connection to Per Se? I'm in NY from the 13th to the 23rd, been spamming the open table but I have no idea when reservations open since their site is down.

    Thanks.

try lunch, i always see availability same day when I search for brunch.

  10. Strain was okay.  Peter Russo from House cards with a wig LOL.  Old european dude with a pawn shop in Harlem, what?  The quirk about the milk was stupid.  The family issues with the main character, typical shit writing, and I feel like the audience will find another TV wife to hate.  WTF was up with cholo East LA gang bangers in NYC, and wtf is a french dude living in Jamaica Queens.
