  1. I meant more about the mentality of this thread overall. Quoting your post was to emphasize the opposite spectrum of discussion in this thread. Were it merely a grievance over the superswap, I think most people here would have been mature enough to just take it in stride. The risk is inherent with such community-based activities and will happen again in the future.

    Pretty much this.

Clearly there's a lot more involved in regards to the perspectives towards Jane than just the superswap (nonswap?). For however long, she's taken the excessive stalker-y and perverted comments in pretty good humour. It shouldn't be a shock that now that she's reached a high enough level of internet fame that she wouldn't want to put up with what she doesn't need to. The intense ressentiment displayed in this thread is likely a result of people feeling guilty about being dogs to her when she was here.

Sad. I enjoyed her (infrequent) contributions.

  2. juun j x reebok EXO fit hi's - double strap version, patent leather / textured leather combo.

Moving back to the states soon and don't have room to pack em. Was gonna mail em to myself but heard some people looking to cop these specific ones so my loss is your gain.

Theyre 11US, but Im normally a 10 and they fit me fine. They could fit a 10.5, but its risking it if you're normally an 11. Juunbox run smallish.

worn 10 or so times, in excellent condition.

    150 + shipping.

    send PM for inquiry.

  3. I'm still looking forward to seeing this stuff in person. I just checked out the S/S 09 stuff and it shocked me how on point the details and construction are. I imagine FW09 will be held to the same standard.

  4. Well as always it's gotta be seen/felt in person, and I agree that like all designers who are past their prime, quality in Raf's materials have seen a drop off. That said, the scarf-attached ribbed sweater from f/w 08/09 is serious business in terms of construction and I suspect there will be one or two stand-out things that I'll pick up next winter.

  5. that's my whole gripe with Juun... I think he makes good clothes, he's had some good pieces... but the hype is sooo gelleresque or possibly even worse. even Juun's nicest stuff has, like said, been done before. he isn't a visionary imo

99% of his stuff has been done before, but his best pieces are executed better than those which he borrows from, and are some of the best I've seen/owned.

The hype is only Gellaresque because you them both on Sufu. In reality they're nothing alike, Juun J's clothes are absolutely top notch in terms of details and construction, and they have a distinct cut to them which you probably wouldn't notice unless you've at least tried on a few of his pieces. I could be wrong in assuming that you haven't, though. ;)

Either way I agree that this collection was disappointing, but it's about what I expected, personally. Maybe after it sets in and I see the stuff showing up in stores I'll change my mind about it but right now it's lukewarm.

  6. they dont like chicken and hood stuff nearly as much as indonesians and filipinos

Dude Korean people fuckin love fried chicken. No doubt about that fact.

I dont know about the Koreans being the "negroes" of asia, seems like an offbase racist comment towards both referred ethnicities but given the source of the comment I'm not surprised.

All ethnic minorities that grow up in metropolitan areas talk hard slang. Its not african american, its street talk. From the asians to the cholos to the blacks, we all speak more or less the same language. If you grew up in LA, you know what I'm talking about. Yeah, we speak it in real life with our homies in private but we can turn it off and on when we are in a corporate setting or with white people.

In general, most white people can't talk street slang.

As a white dude, no doubt I only stick to vernacular that feels natural to me (mostly southern California dialect) and it would sounds pretty stupid if I tried to speak in Ebonics or another street dialect.

I grew up in a metropolitan area and I'm aware of the slang and vernacular among all ethnic minorities. Its compounded by the fact that all of the people I know who did come from a minority or poor background all type in fairly normal speech when using the intarwebs (except when talking about drugs), while those who go out of their way to use black slang online (and this is all anecdotal) come across as affected and unnatural, given their financial positions and/or lifestyles. I'm trying hard to avoid using the word "nerd," but umm.. yea. You guys have X-thousand posts on a forum for "global shopping experts." Just sayin...

  7. Fab that blazer fits you better than it fits me dude! looks fucking sick, excellent call on the scarf, but the white shirt pokin out the bottom is harming it imo. if the cardi was thigh-length and flarin out from under the jacket it would be true juun.j.

    still looks fuckin good.
