i need help finding a mid to late 1990's Salomon side zip tan hiking boot. made of suede, tan hiking boot, it was a side to top zip hiking boot, it had the salomon moniker along the side flap i believe. unzipping the boot revealed the laces.

it was worn by alot of youth in nyc region purely for fashion. though nyc at this time did receive alot of snow. these really gained popularity along with wearing alot of hiking gear, unnecessary straps (bought at tent and trails) for bookbags. north faces, helly hansens, etc...

can anyone recall or help ?

i was in manila/palawan for like 3 weeks, it was such a good experience. i havent been back since i moved to nyc 20 years ago! it was such a trip. saw a lot of poverty, but lived on the opposite side of it. i stayed in the rennaisance and did alot of chillin at the greenbelts, rockwell and bonifacio. the food is soo good it ll kill u.

to the poster below, i think i met you, i spoke to you about streetwear/sneaker places in manila. i never found the bunker. i was asking everyone! i think i spoke to you about riding fixed in manila and if anyone ever does it ...

Agreed. Business casual is a very flexible terms these days and taking cues from you co-workers would be best. Start off on the more conservative side: dress shirt, trousers, and dress shoes and go from there. You can create your entire wardrobe from places like Barneys Co-Op and Odin (if they dont have what pieces that are "out-there" enough for you, you probably shouldnt be wearing it at work).

I dont necessarily find anything wrong with dressing well and by default dressing better than your boss. I also work at a place (consulting firm nonetheless) where, unless she is meeting a client, you can regularly find my boss in raggedy tees, sweatpants, socks and strappy sandals. Needless to say, topping this outfit is not hard.

It is currently 90 degrees in NYC and I am wearing a Barneys gingham pattern button down collar dress shirt, Ralph Lauren Purple Label blue linen shorts, and light brown APC suede moccasins. I think it looks good & fits with business casual but I know this wouldnt fly at JPMorgan Chase.

help ! so ive just accepted a job in which i have to dress business casual. i have no idea how to make business casual look good at all. can i get some ideas ? brands, where to go in nyc, online ? pre my acceptance of this biz casual job i once saw some oxfords (in steven alan) that were made of rubber rather than the usual fare, they looked pretty good, where can i get those ?

so, i have a wedding to attend, i dont want to buy a new suit. i going to work with a black pant and the only pair of shoes i own - brown pair of LV slip ons that i never ever wore. i rarely wear anything formal, only for weddings really. also im not part of the wedding party and its not black tie.

judging from the pics - would this combo work ? if so, what color shirt can i wear with a skinny black tie ?

also i find it very warm and completely functional, i dont wear for anything but that reason.

I hope everyone starts to appropriate and wear these. EVERYONE! Except for me of course. I think Urban Outfitters is sellin' something that reminds me of a shemagh as "anti-war scarves".

i saw these online then i saw them in person in one of their stores, i found it ridiculous that they would market it as an "anti-war" scarf. ironic actually, since urban's owner is a huge republican donor. anything to make a quick buck though rite ?

also the pattern was off, i personally own a shemagh that i bought in the middle east and the quality is much better.

i mean an aqua blue shemagh ? (sold by Urban) cmon ... and also to incite less controversy i think they changed up the typical red/white shemagh into an all red one... ridiculous..
