Well how much we talkin'? Uniqlo had some trenches with a belt and those shoulder thingies but they were beige and longer I think.

Any other suggestions? Looking for a black one. Actually exactly like the one in that second post! Don't want to pay too much though...

Been looking for a cool trench, and I would buy it but it's too small. I'm 6'0", and usually between medium and large.

and i wouldn't get a messenger bad either, your shoulder wont be too appreciative after twenty minutes walking esspecually with a jack spade bad that has no padding
Yeah this is true, especially with the amount of stuff that I'm hauling My previous messenger bag had padding on the shoulders, which was nice.

adidas originals "Wooster"... what do you think?

Wow... what on earth is that...

Walking... taking the train... riding the bike... I didn't really think about materials that much, the main thing is that it's durable.

A thread on Burton bags gave me an idea...actually I think they have exactly what I need: Burton or Gravis...

Lol... I know, the Shures are good, but whatchoo gonna do.
But I'm not sure all that stuff would fit into those J.S. messengers... And nothing can be left out Well, ok, maybe the Boses could.

I've got a 15" widescreen laptop, a PSP, an 80gb iPod, a sidekick, Bose Triport headphones, a digital camera, and a 25-key short MIDI controller! Plus, usually the battery charger for the laptop and a cordless laser mouse. I desperately need a backpack or a messenger style bag that would fit all my shit, preferably with separate pockets for each... I considered something from Oakley or sth but they're huge and make me look like a hiker or a backpacker! Any suggsts? Something hip and "urban", not too expensive

I think the whole brand is overpriced. Shirts are ok though. I have one slightly striped black suit from Hugo, and the fit and cut is perfect. Made in Turkey, if I remember correctly So I'm guessing "Zara quality"?
Boss is divided into Hugo (red label), which is the "trendy youth" label, and VERY Euro; Boss Orange, which is the unbelievably unoriginal and boring "casual" line for middle aged men with a little extra cash; Boss Black is the one with the suits etc.
My favorite is actually Boss Green! It's the "sports line" and has had some pretty futuristic pieces in the past actually.

I have to say i don't see the fuss really- the n95 looks better in every way except UI - but its not apple so it won't sell aswell ofc
The "fuss" is that it's Apple's take on the cell phone market. And the touch screen GUI.
The fact that it's also an iPod (with that cool Cover Flow feature which they should update to the 5G iPods too!), is ok, but a storage capacity of 4Gb or 8Gb really doesn't come close to my 80Gb iPod...

Haha! Dude went to Uniqlo! (well of course you would, who wouldn't...)
I agree with your review, I spent five nights there in mid May, after having read about it @ superfuture. I especially loved the bathrooms, the fact that it was always clean, the superb location. The price is definitely right for a clean Manhattan room.
Only good for sleeping and taking a shower though, not spending time in (I don't know who would, but...). Partially because it's so cramped, it's also very, very noisy. I couldn't sleep without ear plugs.
Reminds me of a similar hotel in London by the way, called Base2Stay. Although it's similarly priced, it's actually a little better, because the (also super tiny) rooms have good private bathrooms, fridges and even a microwave.

I flew jal recently, and I was like 30 Kg over the limit. ... They refused and offered to give me a 3rd shipping box alongside my two pieces of luggage sans charges.
That's pretty good service. I flew AA recently with almost a similar weight situation, with two bags and they made me buy some shitty third bag from the airline plus pay the overweight charge. I was moving, and had tons of clothes, sneakers, books, dvds, etc.
I think the "one bag weight limit" rule is also pretty ridiculous. It's like, if you have one heavy bag, you have to pay, but if you divide it into two bags, you don't. It -is- because the airline workers aren't allowed to throw (a) bag around that weighs too much.

I desperately "need" a white retro digi watch. Am I a complete retard if I spend money on this fake? http://tinyurl.com/2mq84k

I don't even have a myspace, or facebook, or VIRB. I haven't posted my face on -any- of the "post your face here" threads on the various forums I read and post to.
Why? Because of my impending celebrity status.
Maybe people should also mention their age in this thread? I'm 28. Kids nowadays post their mug (and t&a) everywhere without a care in the world. I'm old fashioned.

lol...I'm at The Pod right now... Single room, gave me a rate of $139 + taxes / night.
Pros -
+ Location is good (Upper East Side, E 51st)
+ Rooms are CLEAN
+ Shared bathrooms which are SUPERB. Always clean, look recently installed. Also, there are at least 4 per floor (I think), so you never have problems getting one.
+ Each room has free wi-fi plus one of those iHome radio/chargers for your iPod, a small flatscreen tv, a small sink, and (surprisingly, a small) safe.
Cons -
- Room(s) is/are pretty tiny. Also, for example I'm 6.0" and the bed is too small for me (lengthwise)
- You can pretty much hear everything from outside your room, people banging their doors; some ppl have complained about the thin walls etc. I wouldn't try it without earplugs.
...
I also saw a peek of a "suite" or whatever, which had a private bathroom, and seemed quite roomy and nice.
All in all, the price/quality ratio is definitely on the plus side, especially considering the location and everything. Even though it's not what I'd still call "cheap", all the amenities plus the simple fact that it's CLEAN (for it's price range, definitely not a thing that's granted even for expensive hotels in Manhattan) is what makes it worthwhile.

I'm in nyc NOW. Planning on doing the "shopping tour" tomorrow, Wednesday. Tried going to co-op today but they had some lame party. I think I'll head for the soho area, most of the good shops seem to be in there... And yeah, as long as they're in the same area, that's no prob obviously.

Just stay out of Oxford Street and you'll be fine. That mentioned - Selfridges Men's Department is amazing, an entire floor of hip brands like DPMHI (and all the luxury brands from Dolce&Gabbana to YSL). Selfridges is on Oxford Street. Those you mentioned - Covent Garden, Soho, Carnaby St are pretty much where the shops are. You might also go to Knightsbridge where they have Harvey Nichols and Harrods. Both have good selection of pretty much everything (both famous big dept stores).

Thanks guys...keep 'em coming if you feel like it...
I'm thinking that I should check out Century 21 anyway because I've heard so much about it...

Yeah I know there's a huge list of shops on the sf front page, but I asked because I don't have the time to spend, I need to know the places I absolutely should check out.
Uniqlo, NdQ, BiG, Union, maybe APC, ok.
Dior Homme - wish I could afford, same goes for others such as Marc Jacobs.

Now, I grew up on Commodore 64, and I just downloaded a package of like 4000 games for my PSP and the emulator for it (!)...but most of my favorites haven't really stood the test of time.
Here are some other favorites though...
The legendary CALIFORNIA GAMES for C64
The original FINAL FIGHT 1 (Capcom)
The first DEUS EX was pretty damn good
GOD OF WAR II is incredible. The graphics they pull out of PS2 is ridiculous.
