i'm looking for a ticket from tokyo to sydney this week and noticed that vietnam airways just started this route and its way cheaper than any other airline - ¥60,000 [$US550] AND for 4 month open...which is unusually good deal for a ticket from japan. it stops in hanoi so was thinking about checking it out for a day or 2... maybe around dec 3/4...? i've never been either. usually always do bangkok instead. but heard hanoi is getting much cooler.. when are you there??

I think you should hold off on trying to come across as master-and-commander of this vessel.....try first discussing it with the elder gods..if theyre on board then the wheels will start to turn.....but i do think it can be done...and i would help in any way i could if it came down to it

ok--> so all the suggestions about making a sf publication are great...

so here is the superfuture perspective...

i've discussed making a superfuture mag plenty of times with plenty of people... i even had an editor working on it a few years ago and then ditched it... basically - i used to work as a magzine art director before starting spaceship superfuture and swore id never go back to working in print again. print sucks - its expensive to produce and something always fucks up...plus there is all the other issues like distribution, financing/advertising etc...yuuRK! nightmare.

it is pretty obvious that the advantages internet has over print is the zero time lag between information getting to an end user and circumnavigation of that expensive real-world process called 'printing'. magazines need 2 - 4 month lead times...

having said that - supertalk is a relatively open-ended un-edited chunk of data that could do with some filtering and editing. the bigger it becomes the greater the need to keep the existing data relevant - aside from search functions. developing a packaged and edited version of supertalk content is something we are interested in... [and have been working on]...

we are looking for a new office space in NYC.

will see if there is way to gloabally edit [find and replace] throughout the site.... though that might be wishful thinking! eeeK.

anyone got a spare NYC room/apartment for a few weeks? ive just about used up all my brownie points with freinds in NYC and homeless from next sunday. craigslist is a fucking joke and every other place advertised in this city is extortion and aesthetically challenged. i have 2 other freinds who are also looking for a place. actually the reviews all come into the super superfuture editorial department network content management system [staff=0 or 1] depending whos not on holiday -[this week im in costa rica] but benjamin is our editor in tokyo who will chomp over it andeventually they get entered into the system via tim in shanghai...

do the department stores... you could spend a week in shibuya or shinjuku without seeing daylight...

Wayne, what's the breakdown of sizes you have left?

i think we made S-25 M-50 L-25 and i dont know how many of each are left as they are locked away in a box in superfuture office in tokyo...[thats loopwheeler sizes]
