Post wash update! This denim is really something else. Also got a new phone, so excited to see how these photos came out. And some more photos from recently, went to a brewery with @longshanks and Selvedge1 on Instagram (don't think he has an account here?)

^ lol! and then ... @Paul T asked where the pair now goes: answer at this end: into the vault (a suitcase in the bottom of a cupboard...) ... lots of wear left, but now a nice step in the line of 'first jean' / 1890 / 1915 / 201 / 1920s... plus a comparison of 50s and 20s fades for jollies... (whatever visual similarity is lost when felt in hand: 50s very solid, 20s very supple...)

Thank you for the good idea! I tried to make it, and I think the result looks pretty good. J&FJ Baker natural roughout bridle leather (australian nut on the inside) finished with a slightly aged nickel-plated brass garrison buckle.

Had to wrap up things in Moscow the week before last week - 8 years of Moscow are coming to an end and I will be having more time to spend in Berlin & Scotland. Packing was pretty hectic, but in the end we got it done. Turned out to be almost a 20” container... To make things even more eventful, I had to fly to Scotland on a short notice. I managed to wash my pair in Scotland and even got it to dry, but the light wasn’t good enough for pictures on the last day. Finally, I managed to take pictures yesterday here in Berlin. 3-5 full machine washing cycles - I pretty much lived in them until the end of September. Next steps would be some basic repairs and further moderate wear. Front Hem Top Front Details Back Top Back Outstanding repairs Hem detail I do still own the leather patch and consider putting it back on... (No filters or artificial lightning.)

$900! Damn, Just buy yourself something from McCoys or Dehen with a Shearing collar...Probably get a leather jacket with a shearing collar for that money. Im gonna go out on a limb here and call $900 for a denim jacket as 'overpriced'. To each their own though.

Here's mine fresh after washing. Color isn't consistent, #1 is truest I guess. I've noticed that the back pocket stitching is actually starting to break which is a first for me I've worn these a lot and exclusively for many months. 304 wear days, 18 washes (30° mostly), no drier. While I wish mine were a few cm longer, I liked the cut and fit from the beginning. They held up nicely, right pocket is starting to fray at the top but other than that no repears needed - just what a desk jockey lifestyle gets you, I guess. I've really enjoyed this contest, although my participation on Sufu has been zero for some time now...
