This one is from last week but I’m going to share anyway because I really like this rugby. It’s a vintage Rugged Wear rugby from the 80s or 90s with big Rubber buttons that reminds me of vintage climbing rugbies. Chinos are Buzz WW2 (complete 180 from the TCB pair I wore yesterday in terms of fit). Shoes are Rancourt ranger Mocs27 points

I mulled over this pair in my head for several years. I already talked about it 2 or 3 years ago with Naoki from PSA who had a quite big stock of them. The stock got smaller and smaller and although I might have found a pair on Yahoo, it was easier to buy from Naoki. Luckily he could secure a pair from the Orizzonti era for me. You will not find much information about this model although it had been produced in the Orizzonti and Shins era. It's a 101B Leepro from the late 40s if I am correct. Beautiful LHT. I think 14oz Details25 points

Yesterday i made a little insect house out of a spare bit of waney-edge oak.. it's like social housing for all the l'ill insects, they'll move in on a first come first served basis.. it'll elevate the neighbourhood with a more upwardly mobile class of owner occupier insect.. eventually they'll sell it on at a vastly inflated profit to a multi-occupancy household.. then due to apathy i'll fail to make anymore and the whole system will collapse, but hey, that's insecto-capitalism for ya! It had to be these sizes because 1) this was the only waney-oak i have left and 2) i'm trying to cover up a horrible bit of the neighbours wall Coated a piece of ply with mould release solution Cut some bamboo into 4" lengths .. mixed some resin ..poured it into the bottom of the insect house, using the ply to stop it running out ..dropped all the bits of bamboo into the resin and waited for it to cure Popped the ply off and they're set in resin, i didn't want to cover the bottom.. for 1) i didn't have anymore green oak and 2) the rain should run straight through.. ..ordered some long vine eyes to wire it to the wall along the same plane as my outside lights.. (which are also there to cover up the horrible bit of wall) but they were fkin garbage, they wouldn't hold an insect, ne'er mind an insect des-res so i made some out of marine grade landscaping screws, i'm holding it by hand like a proper foolhardy professional ..there we go, i'll screw them in with a hex driver and thread a keyring loop Ta-Daa! ..then today, i rode up to Stanage Edge ..up to the ridge ..had to do some rock hopping with bike on shoulder before i got back on track ..up to Stanage Pole ..down to the reservoirs at Redmires ..overflow ..to ride the loop home from here would hab]ve meant lots of boring road miles.. so i rode back up to Stanage ..around the ridge ..and stopped for a rest.. well it is Easter Sunday ..then home24 points

The little satchel / purse from a few years ago remains one of my all-time favorite items of any category (likely above most of my clothes and boots, even); it’s with me all the time Had to do a first round of repairs, recently. Some holes were forming around the bottom so I patched it up with some of the canvas leftover from hemming my older pair of Roy’s Foreman pants There was some really nice lighting today so I took a few photos. I love how many different colors are present in different areas of the bag from different sorts of wear (sun, abrasion, indigo crocking…)23 points

that's very nice of you. I'm still lurking about once a day. My life is a mess at the moment with way too much work and stress. I'm so fat that none of my old tcb jeans fit and the idea of surrender and realize I need a 38 makes me sad. I'm going to leave my job at the end of the year, move on something else more simple and get my life back. I thought I could resist with this job until I was 50, make some more good money and call it a day then. But I'm 43 now and I've been dead close to burnout for the last couple years. I may as well decide to join for the fun, as long as I like the cut. I have no time at the moment to work out details with Hajime and Ryo. Let's hope they cook up something that most will like, a Levi's based 5P model with a regular to loose fit. A copy of a specific Levi's pair they haven't covered yet from either 40s or 50s would be probably the most attractive project to stir interest in the contest. A 60's pair with a more friendly cut would be nice too. I loved it back in 2012 or whenever it was, but now I know more what I like, and that cut leaves much to be desired in terms of comfort and proportions (low rise, tight hip, tight thigh).23 points

@chicote’s mention of a 333 repro in the TCB contest thread reminded me to post this. Just screen grabs from Masaki Fujiki’s instagram stories a few weeks back, but he tends to post items (clues?) a couple of seasons before WH repro them, maybe from buying trips. I could be totally wrong and he might just like them and so shared them. Anyway, my fingers are crossed.20 points

Drove down to see the eclipse in totality in Salem, Indiana last week before adventuring in the Great Smoky Mountains for a few days. Any pictures you have seen do not do this celestial event justice. If you ever get the chance to see it take it. My camera could not capture it at all but my gods it was fucking spectacular. But I did manage to get a few fit pics. *Big hat *Thrashed bandana bolo *Orphan vest *Levi's LVC "What are Stars" tee *Vintage tea core belt *Turquoise pin *Mister Freedom Outlaw double black *Vintage Sears/ACME Thunderbird Cowboy boots Best I could do with my shite phone. The below shots were taken just minutes apart. Animals got weird. Temperature dropped. Street lights came on. The stars came out. You could hear a pin drop among the people crying and whispering. Her face says it all. Not my photos but this is pretty close to what we saw. Mind blown.19 points
