  1. Just purchased a few of the Samurai ‘Solid Plain’ tees in a really nice off-white. Around 7oz, loopwheeled. Claims the top spot of tees for me. Similar fit in the body to a 4601 but slightly longer and more fitted arms. Much much softer. Little to no shrinkage on first washing. I don’t usually cuff my sleeves but seemed to work here so ran with it.

  2. Two more partially finished belts for sale - let down again by some ‘customers’ … what a fucking world. Anyways … 1. Wickett & Craig English Bridle leather in dark brown - 10-12oz weight (this particular strap is just over 4mm) and 1 ¾” or 44mm width fitted with a Japanese sand cast brass garrison buckle 2. Hermann Oak English Bridle leather in london tan (not laandaan taan) - 8-10oz weight (but again this strap is approximately 4mm) and 1 ½” or 38mm width fitted with a made in England nickel plated solid cast brass oval shaped centre bar buckle. Both of these are fantastic heavyweight leathers, both are veg tanned and both with develop terrific patina. I’ll finish then to your desired size. £75 each - £5 post in the UK, £10 for the EU and £20 for the rest of the world

  3. Here's a little personal project: my own protype pair of 125s, from the first draft of the pattern, worn daily for a year or so: Hand dyed indigo in Japan with an Achilles' Heel grip at the back of the waist: The way the indigo sends the darker parts almost purple, while retaining the traintracks, marbling, and teeth, is really lovely I think, as is the watery contrast around the washed undyed denim at the back. I've not yet seen a heavily worn in pair of regular Achilles' Heel jeans, which are dyed while the denim is still fresh, and the fading will be different, but equally lovely I think. As I say this is just a personal pair, but I thought they might be appreciated here!

  5. Keith Jarrett. Of course, jeans are a regular mass product, but I like the photo anyway.

  6. I have no say about anything regarding Freewheelers construction, but in my experience sewing almost exclusively with old half-turn machines the photo you shared is pretty much exactly how I finish seams myself. Looking closely at the stitch path, it appears to me not to be a true reverse stitch but rather a narrow triangle. When I’d finish a seam in this way, I’d stitch slightly off my line for the final stitch, turn the garment 90 degrees, go one stitch forward, then turn again and stitch back into my original line. That is, to my unprofessional eye, at least, what this photo looks like to me. But I am open to being corrected! Just wondering if that possibility might clear up the issue.

  7. Masstard heavyweight tshirts from Anemoscope. Quality is ok. The green boat neck long sleeve tshirt was sent to me by mistake but I’ll take it (I originally ordered the short sleeve version for the summer).

  9. Stolen from my washing today, Brighton (Hove), UK. Original run, red line selvage - ISC work shirt - 10yrs+ Old, size large (fits medium), very well worn - faded & creased elbows and collar etc etc, button on cuff changed. Original (different) white label with eagle. If anyone sees this online, or in person please let me know. Can’t really replace it at this point. I’ve traveled across the world in it, and worn it for many years. Not sure if it was by chance or specific. They left my jeans and other similar items. Maybe just wanted a shirt, or this specific shirt? Any help appreciated. Thanks (I’ll upload a picture if I find one) Posted on Reddit, and asked everyone I could think to locally. Please feel to share/ story /repost this on line if you think it might help. Thanks

  10. Found it. Bumped into a guy wearing it. I made a scene. He said he bought it. I gave him £20 for it. Job done.

  11. seconding this, you can size down but going tts is the way to go, the pants are quite boring otherwise, embrace the length unless you're pretty short

  12. Yes to your question. One thing to keep in mind though is that if you don't go TTS the silhouette will be slimmer and not true to how it was originally intended to look stylistically. If that doesn't bother you, then go for the size down. Myself i could have gone a size down but decided to stick TTS.

  13. Yeah. P46 is baggy enough to go one size down if you think it is too long.
