Spent the last few days in Strasbourg as I had a concert booking there on Friday night. A friend works at the modern art museum. I'm a fan of this particular kind of stuff. All by Victor Brauner. They also have this - Rodin's The Thinker Pertaining to the music event. I made the magazine article. Some of the musicians, mostly piano players.20 points

Inis meáin / indigofera I was going strong in the indigoferas for awhile then a series of toddler events meant I had to wash them like 6 times in 2 weeks so now I wash and dry almost whenever and they’re marbled and have fade splotches (the gunpowder dye scrubs off a little easy) and they’re great and I don’t care.7 points

Well done G^ ..kid's growing up! I've dug 8 tonnes of clay out of my raised bed.. from this ..to this ..I've ordered a load of green oak, i'll get it delivered to work, cut it to size and partially build it, dismantle it, take it home and re-build it in the garden.. it's easier than having to take all my tools home.. it'll look something like this.. i called up to Albion Timber on Saturday to buy a larger board of oak for the flip down seats a green oak wall.. incorporating a raised bed and a seating area.. around the oak will be gravel soakaways.. french drains and such ..up top will be a green oak pergola.. stood on staddle stones.. paved with Yorkshire stone in the bottom and planted out with climbers and a clover bed up top RMC.. It used to be white I've still got a leak in the outside toilet.. 3 months and counting, Yorkshire Water came out again but 'couldn't gain access to the property' because some idiot had left a plywood ramp for their wheelbarrow on the step.. the broken stop cock is here ..but they couldn't manage to get by?.. or even move the ramp out of the way.. i can lift it with one finger.. one fkin finger! ..fkin useless fks!4 points

Got a t shirt I ordered a while back(EMS sure do take their fucking time) from Dalee today. It’s my first Deluxeware product. I’m pleasantly surprised with the fabric. Very soft and light yet full of texture. The fabric looks like it wasn’t cleaned before turned into yarn and there are small bits of non cotton leftovers.3 points

Really didn't know where else to put this but I'll see if I can get some traction here. Have recently became fairly obsessed with vintage fifties and sixties ACME cowboy boots with the painted leather inlays and thought I would try my hand at customizing some boots. First here are a few examples of what I'm talking about. And the boots themselves. Pretty cheap, shaft my be synthetic. And here is what I've come up with for options 1. Cream and baby blue inlays, red piping Option 2: Cream and Red inlays, baby blue piping Or Option 3: Blue and red up front, cream in the back with or without piping2 points

Just received one of the new Denime raglan sweatshirts produced by Warehouse. Always very excited to see raglan sleeves. It’s very fluffy on the back and it’s very thin which could work well for the coming warmer months It definitely has a vintage feel - very similar to old 70-80s Healthknit sweats that you could find pretty cheaply on eBay years ago. So I kinda like it, but I’m not blown away by the quality. Also sizing is a little bigger and longer than most regular Warehouse sweats, but I wouldn’t size down.2 points

Hi from SuperTechwear. I don't wear denim but saw that Levi's is hosting a pop-up experience with DJ's in my city of SF this weekend. Gonna be checking it out and wanted to share here for the SuFu Denim heads. https://www.levi.com/US/en_US/features/501experience2 points

Some good entries from the UK contingent, unlike Eurovision (apparently…). Not today, but yesterday I had to collect a print I bought from the artist’s studio in Woolwich, so I travelled by Underground & Elizabeth line with my trusty pooch and then took a walk alongside old Father Thames. Various photos of the old Royal Arsenal and environs, where armaments and munitions were made. The site had its origins in the 17th century and finally closed in 1994. Most of it was built in the 19th century. Anyway, plenty of cannons, etc and some Antony Gormley-esque sculptures. There’s also the Woolwich Ferry and the foot tunnel (opened in 1912) under the river for transport buffs. Some photos of the Tate & Lyle sugar mills at Silvertown, Thames flood barrier and offices at Canary Wharf. Plenty of modern, soulless high-rise residential developments too, which I ignored. Finally, the print of Circus Liquor in North Hollywood on 9mm birch ply covered in clear resin, by Gerry Buxton.2 points

Little late, but for dream jacket makeups, I'd adore a J97 in Merino wool. That would be the perfect travel layer -- warm, breathable, odor-resistant, etc.1 point

I won't recommend them. I tried the 712 twice and they are absolute ball crushers. The rise might be in tha ballpark of the 711 (so already low to begin with) but the crotch area is tight. The 711 are simply much more comfortable and the 710 as well. Also thanks for posting your fits!1 point

With Resolute, after dealing with a few pairs of 710s and even more pairs of AA710 (or whatever their code were), I’ve come to think of the numbers on the tag more like haikus than numbers corresponding to actual measurements. I’m usually a 31, but a 32-34 in the 710s, and a 32 in 711 (though back rise is a bit voracious). Not sure what I should choose in 712, if I ever decide to try those as well. However, the 714s are almost like normal jeans, i.e. 31” almost equals thirty-one inches, with regards to waist. So my w32s are very generous. They’ll work fine, but I would’ve gone for a W31L34 if I were to order again. Comfy, and lots of cuffing possible. Denim loosened up a lot after wash, the back rise not a problem at all. Waist band slightly sloppy, could easily slip a bottle of barolo or a Walkman down my trouser leg without unbuttoning.1 point

If you can't sell them for that price on reversible or grailed, what makes you think you'll be able to here?1 point

Welcome to the world of TensionZip pockets. The design makes for expandability of the entry upon unzipping, promotes easier single-handed zipping/unzipping, and is not meant to zip up fully in the traditional sense.1 point

You cheeky cnut! ..in fact i did have a leather belt i got from the vintage shop for a fiver.. fk knows what happened to that? I bought some CK chinos from Ryan's Vintage a few months ago for £6.. they're a size 36 and i'm a size 32 but i really like the volume.. they only have small loops hence the need for a slim belt.. i've been wearing an old canvas belt to hold them up which belongs to my missus.. that's 30yrs old so i'm sure this will hold up my pants till i'm old and grey... or older and greyer1 point

That's why I keeping both J33-E alpha and black. Amazing and quality jacket. But I don't like gravity pockets and boring hood. Idk why but I prefer my j61-ws over j47a-ws (both r packable). 47aws sitting in my closet, 61 is in every day use.1 point

I picked up these from a seller at the recent Viva Las Vegas rockabilly event. Reasonably priced so a good find I'd say. Probably late 60s/early 70s. The guy also had two pairs of very cool 1930s boots that didn't fit me, but I took photos in case anyone wanted to see. Will post those at some point.1 point

Almost feels bad posting about a weekend at a small rented cottage and hanging out at the beach after your post @Double 0 Soul! We rented a small place in the middle of nowhere. The doggo was mighty happy to be out of the city life for a few days in the woods, fields and at the beach. Nearby there was an old abandoned cemetary. The church was removed in the early 1800’s but we could see dates on some of the gravestones from 1750’s.1 point
