  5. My new Chambray shirt from Freewheelers also know as "Neal Cassady" indigo work shirt The shirt design is inspired by work shirts from the 1920s. The left pocket has a pen holder, the collar has a chin strap, the hem is finished with an open ring, and a union ticket is sewn on the back of the front hem. The buttons are made of iron, and the more you wear them, the more the paint will peel off and rust, creating a nice atmosphere. The fabric is likely to loose color , creating a nice shade of indigo. Bar tacks stitches in all pressure points In size 16, below were the measurements in unwashed: pit to pit: 55 shoulder: 45 sleeve: 65 length: 77 After 1st wash I noticed: pit to pit: 55 (no change) shoulder: 45 (no change) sleeve: 64 length: 76 (Monkey Wrench told me that the shirt will shrink in 1st two washes, likely to shrink 1-15.cm in width and 2cm in length) Pictures in unwashed condition:

  6. Picked up a few of the YM Factory tees, very happy with the fit / fabric / construction. They are made by rebuilt.jp, he uses vegetable dyes to dye the threads and also uses silk thread on the neck opening as it is more flexible than some other alternatives. These might dethrone Warehouse as my favorite t-shirts.

  9. Pulled these all out of the repair pile, resting alongside their fallen comrades (tender 128s, Stevenson 767, red cloud r400h) who have all been too shredded and/or used for patches… left to right: tcb 40s, sugar cane 40601 “slack denim”, tender 129s. All great pairs of jeans. may I hopefully get around to fixing and wearing them in more, though they’re all in a similar state of needing new repairs every other wear…

  11. I see SDA jeans have all gone up in price in JP stores. On the subject of SDA fit offerings in the evo thread, I was talking to Rudy @ SOAS a few weeks back and he was saying that they don't actively restock SDA jeans anymore due to their change to releasing everything in the 108 cut. He feels there are to many options in that cut and the likes of oni do it better. (Personally 108 works OK for me as short inseam reduces the pronounced taper) Perhaps with wider fits becoming more popular again we will see SDA releasing more of the original fits. Cuts aside, I'm very much considering the SDA leepro they have just released. Also when in Birmingham Moor Street Station the other day, was the first time I saw someone else wearing a pair of SDA in the wild!

  13. They were out of stock for a long time and recently had a restock, right. Probably a lot of people were eagerly waiting for these or SDA didn't produce many as their main cuts these days are relaxed/tapered ones.

  14. Stay TTS for sure. The width fits narrow so if you size down your foot will feel squashed.

  17. @unders Not sure if you have any experience with Warehouse tees, but they're no tighter than the neck opening on those. I'd say they're much more forgiving than Flat Head THC tees too, which are about the smallest I've experienced. Initial impression is that they look snug but are actually pretty forgiving, might have to do with the silk thread.

  19. Overdyed is a just a different thing altogether. I have a few pieces (not IH) overdyed and the fades will never be anything but more subtle. I really like them but I get that it's not what some are after. The white core the makes the higher contrast of denim fading usually seems like it's dyed pretty well through with a lot of overdye processes.

  20. I've had the same problem. I think I've had mine for 4 years now. I do have some fades happening, but honestly, if I knew it was gonna stay so almost but not quite black, I'd probably have just gone for a black IH type3.

  21. I’m usually between a 11.5 and 12 in AF1’s. First pair of downtowns I got were 11’s and I got rid of them because they felt too narrow. Got a pair of 11.5’s and they were okay. Got another colourway shortly after in 12 and I tend to prefer the 12’s.

  28. I picked up these from a seller at the recent Viva Las Vegas rockabilly event. Reasonably priced so a good find I'd say. Probably late 60s/early 70s. The guy also had two pairs of very cool 1930s boots that didn't fit me, but I took photos in case anyone wanted to see. Will post those at some point.

  29. thanks guys! the jeans are great and it was a fun year of wearing them. I did not have to do any big repairs except for patching up the pocket bags due to my pocket knife and changing the waist button since it rusted and tore the fabric holding it. I just went to @Signet and took home a Warehouse 2010 ww2 cowboy jacket. Its too warm where I am at to wear at the moment but it looks great!

  30. 220's after about 3 hot washes to get the shrink out. I was initially worried that the size 31 would be a bit big after the first wash, but they are right on now.

  32. it would appear that i’ve run out of space in my closet, and also the wiggle room these clothes used to give my body when i first bought them. all of this stuff is men’s size small and waist 29/30. i want to sell all of this stuff off as a lot because i don’t really see any of these items as individually valuable anymore. i don’t know many people who can fit into these sizes, so many someone might want to use these for scraps or repairs. everything is in good shape, although the pair of sc1947s does have a raw hem. i want to let this all go for cheap, no more than $300USD altogether. anyone want to help me clear out some space? if not, at least enjoy a peek and admire the fading between the two buzz rickson chambrays, just beautiful stuff! EDIT: these are sold, thank you!

  35. — Sorta x-posted from evo thread — Rediscovered these old Eternal joints from ages ago. They suffered a crotch rip that I had repaired and promptly ripped again slipping on wet grass. It’s in a spot that looks difficult to fix adequately, but let me know if you can think of solutions. They have so much life left tbh
