— Sorta x-posted from evo thread — Rediscovered these old Eternal joints from ages ago. They suffered a crotch rip that I had repaired and promptly ripped again slipping on wet grass. It’s in a spot that looks difficult to fix adequately, but let me know if you can think of solutions. They have so much life left tbh11 points

So, we're all pretty familiar with the lovely works of @Duke Mantee on here by now. I did however dig into his skull and sent him a massive amount of questions to write up a portrait on my resurrected blog. Head over to take a peak into his mind: https://indigoveins.com/interview-duke-the-custom-belt-maker-without-a-name/9 points

There was a massive downpour yesterday afternoon so i had to bag it off.. this morning my hole was akin to a small pond.. The waterlogged earth now weighs 10x as much! I had a terrible nights sleep.. my body aches in places i never knew existed.. i'm not used to proper work.. woke up early with a hangover. Zero ammount of planning went into this landscaping project.. i'd borrowed a spade from my neighbour and an old wheelbarrow from Pat, my mums friend, jesus, it was a piece of shit!.. the bucket detached from the frame after 3 trips to the skip so this morning i went down to work, got some ply and some redwood to make a longer ramp.. also made a ramp to go down the steps from the path to the pavement... swung by Wickes when it opened and bought myself a new barrow.. a Chillington Camden Classic no less. Pat's barrow is on the left I'll take it to work next week and repair it for her.. at least she can still use it for light gardening work... I didn't really want to buy a new wheelbarrow, once this shiz is done.. the fk am i going to do with it? Neighbours daughter has been banging out The Doors which has been a treat.. I'm down to the clay layer.. fkin nasty No wonder underfoot was like Glastonbury .. I've filled half of an 8 tonne skip today, it doesn't sound like much but i'm digging out solid clay, filling a barrow, walking down the path, through the gennel, down the next path, turn a corner.. down another path, down some steps to the pavement.. up the street, up the ramp and into the skip.. I layed on the grass at 4pm and fell asleep .. the rain hitting my face woke me up.. pfft! Having a beer.. not drinking from 3pm , i should avoid another hangover tomorrow Hopefully Hitoshi Tsujimoto doesn't ban me from his Instagram.. My repairs are holding up pretty well5 points

This pair of vintage Levi's gotten a little bit loosey goosey so I gave them a good hot soak with a bit of Bronner's (no agitation). As they were drying the colors were really popping so I took a few shots in the sun light. I love how you can see in the entire lifespan of the fabric in that waistband. Frayed and faded on the edges but the indigo is still inky and dark and the denim is still hairy in the middle. Levi's 501 shrink to fit, Made in USA late 80s4 points

Almost feels bad posting about a weekend at a small rented cottage and hanging out at the beach after your post @Double 0 Soul! We rented a small place in the middle of nowhere. The doggo was mighty happy to be out of the city life for a few days in the woods, fields and at the beach. Nearby there was an old abandoned cemetary. The church was removed in the early 1800’s but we could see dates on some of the gravestones from 1750’s.3 points

new FW 1937 thanks to @JMS Rise will take a bit of getting used to. They’re 1.25”lower in rise than the s601xx that I’m usually wearing.2 points

Experimenting a little bit today. Came across this oddball jacket while thrifting and picked it up purely for the intersting fabric and pattern (looks like some kind of indigo) to make a scarf or hankie. But then I tried it on and kinda loved the fit. So then it became a self imposed challenge to style it. Let me know what you think. In person, I received a disproportionate and surprising amount of compliments last night. Vintage Barlesoni Homburg $5 sunglasses Weird thrifted cropped sleeve indigo print jacket The Smiths tee Vintage black leather belt Vintage Levi's 517 (black tab, cotton/poly) Grinders western zip boots with snip toe and cowboy heel (cowboy chelsea?) I had been looking for a new pair of cowboy/western ankle boots and after much searching I came across these and took a shot. As you may know Grinders are mainly known for making rugged Doc Marten's punk type boots but they have a Western inspired line (bench made in Mexico, goodyear welt, all leather construction) and so far I'm pretty impressed with the quality and fit especially for the price.2 points

Cross-posting from WH thread: Warehouse 800xx, 9 months, three washes, since fall 2020. I really love these jeans, probably the best-fitting pair I've ever worn, wonderful denim, nice detailing, everything about these is just right. Now focusing on my 1001xx, which is around 6 months of wear. Guess I'll try to photograph those soon, too.2 points

I live in Shinjuku. 20 min walk to desolation row. But they don’t usually have anything big in stock. Their retailers are better. Not that I need anymore shirts…1 point

Haven't been posting much lately, busy focusing on moving in a couple weeks time. Excited to have a backyard for the pup and some better lighting for fit / fade pics! So far I've filled up two boxes worth of jeans / trousers alone...1 point

sorry for the insanely late response! this is the first ive tried of the s5000 cut, but my understanding is that its a mid rise straight leg cut. i believe that to be true in this case. it feels fitted in the top block and roomy through the legs. i pulled an old fit pic for reference. i did give them a 40C soak and agitation when i first got them as they were unsanforized iirc lol im guessing none of this matters to you anymore but didnt want to seem like i ignored1 point

I finally got a pair of TCB 50s. I chose W34. From the shop measurements it should have been fine. When they arrived today they looked really small in the waist. Having read, that the denim stretches quite a bit, I still gave it a try. First I thought, it would be impossible to close the top button. But after closing the fly with a lot of effort, I managed to also close it. The rest fits fine, very comfortable. Also I didn't want the hem bigger than the current 24cm. Having worn them for a few hours now, I can close the top button quite easily. They are still a bit tight, though. In one wash they are very soft and comfortable from the getgo. They remind me actually of the FW 1951s, from the cut, the hand of the denim and also the denim is somehow similar, if a bit darker. I can understand now, why they're so popular. I wasn't disappointed. Great jeans for a fair price. TCB 50s denim And Freewheelers 1951 on top1 point

I’ve had a few pairs of ROY jeans through the years and to be honest the patterns were always just a bit off for me to really love them. the cherry on top though was when I sent him some photos of a pair I was using for blue collar work. He sent me an insane message saying how terrible of a customer I am and that I’m just ruining and abusing his jeans…..that I am the terminator and he said he’d never sell me another pair…. Then blocked me on IG after that message. Dude can be a bit of a nut.1 point

down the horological rabbit hole, back out with a tisell with horological flowers [whilst in Geneva had the chance to gawk at quite a few things down the rue du rhone; the Richard Mille shop only had one piece in the window, whilst plastering the airport with these crazy pieces... from my brief looking in general the winners in the Swiss game are the divers of Tudor Pelagos and Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, but in general have my eyes much more on tool aesthetics of Seiko and Sinn]1 point

Bagjack is great, but at the end of the day people are making these bags, and people make mistakes both in production and QC. You’re unlikely to have this issue, but customer support has your back and if it doesn’t - a chargeback from your card provider will. “Made in Germany” really doesn’t mean anything. And about the Cordura bags, they utilise the exact same pattern. It’s just the material that’s different1 point

nah. u dont get it. I'm not going to prove anything to u. My view is quite the opposite of the one you've expressed there. From my experience the margin of error of measuring pants on MS relatively small - up to 1-2 centimeters max.1 point
