    Sugar Cane Denim

The last time I pointed out a pair of SC on Ebay which I thought were rare, they wound up being commonplace. You think I would have learned my lesson then but here I go again. SUGAR CANE EDO AI DENIM JEANS 32 Selvage New with Tags Japan. https://www.ebay.com/itm/SUGAR-CANE-EDO-AI-DENIM-JEANS-32-Selvage-New-with-Tags-Japan/323784013749?_trkparms=aid%3D333200%26algo%3DCOMP.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20190212114623%26meid%3Db9c945d4cc5f4c8fb5983736b704f524%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D192896652920%26itm%3D323784013749&_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850

    Levi's RED

Cultizm has unearthed a few deadstock Levi’s Red models that are now up for sale at their original prices, apparently.
  5. Except sometimes it is difficult to know who is responding to who if you do not follow the thread every day. For people like me who check in every week or two then it is very helpful to have the beginning of a post or a photo quoted. As I mentioned to someone else a few weeks ago. The "annoyance" you are describing falls under the heading "First World Problem". Lol Keep it chilled Dude

Anyone can chime in on the fit of moleskin cargoes from last season? I’m usually about a 30. Size S in P23. I assume I would need a 46, would a 48 work if I wanted a baggier fit or it would just be way too big overall? 5,7 135-140 for reference
  8. Even easier is to just high lite what you want to quote and a “quote selection” will appear. Like this: Tap that, and a presto.

The Alamo is a great shirt! Especially like the new red version. Don't know why the pocket flaps are designed that way, but they are very nerdy with their designs so I'm sure there's a thought behind it. Perhaps Neil can shed some light on it.

@Dakota I own a J-11. Confirming with others The J-11 has: - 7 pockets (2 chest, 2 lower, 2 gravity, 1 upper left arm) - The label is black - The left sleeve tab has the old ACR logo Hope this helps.
  11. Usually you should be able to quote a post and delete everything you don't want to copy again, leaving just the part you wanna quote. My quote of your post doesn't say Thanks anymore, see?

Anybody have a J-74 and a J-36 and can speak on layering the two?

    Indigofera

Yep, that checks out Since getting this I've been looking into some of their other shirts, and I notice that on a lot of them—particularly Westerns—the pocket flaps are way too small for the pockets. Any idea why that is? A lot of the shirts seem really nice besides, but unless there's some or other good justification, that's likely a dealbreaker, which is a shame

Here is the exact listing: https://www.grailed.com/listings/8920570-Acronym-Acronym-blazer-gore-Tex-j11-j29-XL Seller was not exactly sure of the model either. Couldn't not buy at that price though lol, but it is generally confusing me which iteration exactly of the j11 or j29 it could be mostly because the single breast pocket and the lack of flaps on the hand pockets.

    Acronym.

Agreed -- this iteration must be mighty old, because the last pac lite version of the gt-j29 (i believe) was 09-10, but it had zippered access to the bottom hand pockets which I don't see in the j29 above. @Dakota just curious where did you purchase it, that didn't have the jacket name in the listing description?

I was wondering if I can get an exact ID on this jacket I purchased, did not come with spec sheet so I am at a loss. Seems to be a J11 but I have never seen any models of the J11 without two breast pockets, and without the flaps over the hand pockets. It has six pockets total. Is made of paclite goretex, has the removable hood and sling capabilities. The jacket did not come with the sling though however. Thanks for the help in advance and sorry for the poor phone quality pics.

203 is the kid's size of the 201, same as the 503 was the junior 501 etc.. Edit: oops, sorry, didn't realise Maynard was there already. Some of the codes did get re-used. IIRC 502 was a junior size and later became a different model. Kid's models of vintage Levi's are great because they're often available for less $$$$.
  23. this is good, as it makes the original content annoying seeing it for most of the page being quoted 3 times

    What about Jeans Jackets ....

The style looks strange to me but the denim fabric has a promising denim evolution potential ahead

No they're not. Nope, nope and nope. Even though you people have the audacity to describe yourselves as "Denim Heads" you have failed, failed miserably, although you were kinda on the right track with the bar-tacking, tepid but not warm. For the record, there's no chain-stitch on the coin pocket, which I believe is period correct for all Levi's from the 1960's. You'll kick yourselves, or more than likely, want to kick me when you find out what it is. If I was an internet scammer this is the part where I would ask you to send your credit card details to find out the answer and achieve true happiness. The clue was in the wording, "tiny detail". Getting annoyed yet? I know I am. If you look at the bottom of the fly, there is a very small bit of bar-tacking in yellow stitching just above the orange stitching, probably completely useless in the overall structural integrity of that part of the jeans, think crotch rivet level of uselessness. I only really noticed it myself when I compared my L.V.C. 1966 pair with the Lot 1101. I have never seen this type of bar-tacking on any other reproduction model, only on the 1966 ones. Check out your own collections and see if you can find it. I would guess they stopped doing it when they realized that it probably made no difference at all and wasn't really necessary. I looked on juke_kakui insta to see if I could find any genuine true vintage 66 models to show this feature and these are the best I could find... If you have a pair of L.V.C 66's you can see it for yourself, just another pointless, useless detail to get excited about. Also, the water situation isn't that great either.
