Are you going to clean rivets with something like salt/vinegar paste?

  6. You should go. Yen at 154… absolutely ridiculous. I’m totally fucked by that but please enjoy. just note, that all tourist spots you’ve ever heard of are so insanely overcrowded with European and American tourists. I’m talking about 50% plus of the foot traffic is actually foreign. Probably not the Japanese experience people are looking for. But everyone has the same idea and that’s what it is. I’d stay away from that.
  7. WTB: Acronym J65-KM M (White) Located in Chicago PayPal ready to go
  8. Damn, you are right! Didn't check my Tokyo model. So it's still some kind of detail for special models. The leather of the patch also seems to be different to the standard models. But no idea what animal it is from. Measurements: W36 Waist: 36.5" Front rise: 12" Back rise: 16" Thighs: 14" Knee: 9.5" Leg opening: 9" Inseam: 35.75"
  9. The following models have the thin X on the patch according to photos in that Lightning Denim Book. There may be others but the photos are too small to tell: Tokyo Kyoto 1988E new 505 new WW2 15th anniversary 606
  10. I would be lying if I would say I know the answer. All other Denime jeans I have (including standard 66) have the outline X. If this would be an indicator, it feels like Samurai's way to describe their jeans through the patch But I guess this was just a design for the anniversary pair. But maybe there are more models with this thin X?! Anyway, according to old blogs this model uses the same denim as the WW2 model. So definitely no XX denim.
  11. Also, the thin ‘X’ on the patch rather than the thick, outline ‘X’ that represents XX models indicates that they’re not a 66XX pair doesn’t it? I hope that makes sense 🫠
  12. Nope, not at all. They just wrote about an "uncle" that had these stored away. On first sight I just thought "another 66XX in deadstock condition, oh well". Then, on the second sight I noticed the leather patch looking off...and of course a L36 is not on the 66XX. Then the V-stitch and I knew they are the 15th anniversary.
  13. That’s a great catch Tilmann, they’re in amazing condition. I had to refer to an old Lightning Denim Book from 2006 to find a picture of them! Did the listing describe them accurately?
  14. My job here is done. 100% correct! Apart from the oxidized rivets, yes ☺️ In Denime's 60s pairs I prefer a W36. My 66XXs are W36 as well. And these are a BigE model, so 60s.
  15. Are you planning on gaining weight to fit these BF? 😆
  16. Wow, pristine condition.
  17. ^ 15th anniversary pair from 2003?
  18. Sometimes you think that ship as sailed...and then you stumble across something on Yahoo 😅 First I didn't recognise what it was exactly. So I ignored the listing. Then I saw it again and it dawned on me that this is something unique. You can have a guess if you like 😁
