  5. @Geeman One word of caution about Buyee and maybe someone can tell me what I did wrong but I got hammered hard with extra fees. I won an auction for $15 and paid an additional $30 in fees and shipping. I attempted to cancel the order. I attempted to pay the Seller and have them keep the item. I attempted to get them to not ship the item. Maybe there is a way to have to approve each purchase rather than have it automated but I could not figure it out. BTW, Buyee required payment by PayPal so you can use that method above to save a few bucks.

I hope its allowed to attach this link. Its a website that has dozens of SC models in various stages of fade. Its like looking into a crystal ball as I build my SC closet. http://denim-gallery.heavy.jp/sugarcane/sugarcane-mrfreedom.html

I'm struggling to use buyee, downloaded the add to buyee widget and the app but can't add my items. The widget may not work as I browse on an android tablet that has no task bar on display. Any ideas?

Super useful info @Pedro, I didn't know that.
  9. This is the fee which can be avoided by following the steps above: “On top of the wholesale rate, PayPal will add a 3% charge if you’re in any of the following situations: -Purchasing goods from a seller who accepts payments only in a specific currency which you do not hold in your PayPal account.” https://transferwise.com/us/blog/paypal-currency-conversion-rates Pedro

  11. Yes, paying with CC in the foreign currency is cheaper; however, ff the Seller does not accept CC and only accepts PayPal (PP) then it is still possible to avoid the PP Exchange Rate loss of approximately 3%. It is necessary to be logged into a PP account and not paying as a "guest". After logging into PP and during the payment process, a page will display that asks the source of payment (Bank account, Credit Card, etc). After CC is chosen, there is a link for VIEW CONVERSION OPTIONS. This will open a page where it is possible to choose the CURRENCY FOR THIS PURCHASE (the Seller currency or the CC Bank currency). By choosing the Seller currency, JPY in the below image, you receive the daily rate of your CC and bypass the terrible PP “spread”. Please refer to the google images below:

I go through phases where I'm more interested than at other times, but regular pants don't fit me and my weird proportions so there's basically no going back.

That's been me for a few years. After wearing raw indigo jeans for years, I was wanting a pair of black on black jeans and my favorite denim brand was out of stock, so I bought some Levi's 513 with elastane in them to tide me over. Well, they fit me perfectly and that little bit of stretch made a huge difference in mobility/comfort and I haven't really gone back to my raw. I just bought some more jeans that are designed for rock climbing, with even more stretch in them and a water repellent finish that'll be nice in the rain. :x Denim is getting new tech that I like. Still rock my Iron Heart flannels and White's boots every day, though.

PayPal really, really annoys me in so many ways but every time i think of getting rid of it, I find some stupid reason to keep it, but it is really expensive to use and maybe if you're a retailer it's even more so. I'm surprised nobody has come up with something similar but better.

A little bit more "653" button madness, similar to the nonsense I mentioned on page 687. I spotted this pair on ebay a while ago, they're sold now, but I couldn't help noticing the coin pocket, it's not a great picture but you can see that the pattern seems to follow the same lines as my early 1980's pairs, while these seem to be late 80's early 90's judging by the care tag and the patch... It has that rounded/curved line The plot thickens, at least for me...

As you can see, no unusual wear. Just bad luck. Thankfully Dutil is offering free repairs on Monday!
  23. My CC won't even allow overseas purchase especially if it's over a certain amount . PayPal finds ways around it but I believe they take a percentage of the sale like when we sell on EBay. If that's the case, I could see more shops dropping it to cut down on costs.

Since PayPal has its own fucked up exchange rates I prefer to buy with CC anyways

You wear the 2001 cut really well but I think they would look 10 times better with a larger single cuff
