They did have other fabrics before the banner denim came along. If you go back in the thread there's been a lot of discussion over the years when they changed the fabrics.

Wearing my Big Bro 2s today. I got these over 4 years ago and they still feel like they have a ways to go. It’s crazy how different the fabric can look from one lighting to another and they kinda feel like a different pair of jeans each time I wear them

It's hard to tell from the photo's but I don't think it's the normal 14.5oz that comes on the Lot 800. It looks like a early attempt at the Banner denim maybe??? I would guess, and I stress guess, that they are around 13.5oz, if you gave them a hot wash they look like they might get quite hairy.

The denim feels different than the 800s I had. I believe they are both supposed to be the flagship denim, correct me if I'm wrong. If they are both supposed to be the same denim has it changed over the years?

What do you mean by mismatch? (That may be the answer to your question...)

Very nice @JRendon02, they look great, very little wear, they do look like they've had a hemming though as there's no chain stitch, but you were right to take gamble on the that patch. I think the whole 1001, 1001xx, 1000, 1000xx not to mention the 1000/1001xx is very confusing but they seem to be a very popular cut in Japan, etc, so it's hard to find the older ones and the newer Lots seem to sell out very quickly. The chart is fantastic, thanks again to @kameidaclub for posting it way back when.

Found these on therealreal and had to take a chance once I saw the patch. They have some minor wear that you can see on the pockets, crotch, and hem. I’m going to assume these had only been cold soaked and never washed by the previous owner. They came in at a 31” inseam and shrank to 30 3/8” after a warm wash. The fit is somewhere in between my 66 501 LVC and BJ Rare 008. I’m excited to add these to my rotation. @501XX4EVER thanks for that chart. I couldn’t find it earlier. It is now saved.

Yea, yea, yea, that's all very well, but what everybody really wants to know is, do they have a double chain stitched outseam???(I'm betting that they do)

That looks like a great pick up @JRendon02, judging from the patch they are from around 1998-2003. I like the printing on the Lot and size numbers as well. More pics please, when you get the [email protected] posted this chart a while back, very useful.

Nice one! In your possession? For anyone interested, here are the measurements of the Lee 101Z 1952. Size 33x34, came in a somewhat one-wash condition. Waist: 34.5” Front rise: 12.5” Back rise: 15.75” Hip: 21.5” Thigh: 12.75” Knee: 9.5 Leg opening: 8.5” Inseam: 36” It’s the second day I’m wearing them and I am really pleased. Have to check how much they stretched but not too much I guess since they aren’t tight. I paid roughly 160€ for them with shipping and I really think at this price point they surpass Levi’s and their LVC line. Or to rephrase myself: that’s what LVC should cost

Can anyone tell me what’s the difference between the 800 and the 1001xx fit wise? I have the 800 but they’re a bit tight in the thighs (After I got into squatting).

You took the words right out of my mouth. The cuff adjusting mimicry is out of control.
  26. Exactly. And the person that built, fabricated, constructed, sewed, that product is getting paid an amount above his skillset. Perhaps a strong word but a fraud. Ofcourse, some of these craftsman simply do not have the understanding or the trained eye to understand how much they lack because they are self-taught. They think that because they use a particular denim or leather or snap that their product automatically becomes exceptional.
