    Watches and Denim

Haven't been this geeked on a new watch in a while...I've had a few Seiko Tuna's in the past, but none in the 1000m range. "Darth" Tuna has been on my mind a number of years, but I've always put it off. Now that they're updating the dial this year etc, I decided now or never as I actually prefer this design over all others. Though rated for 1000m, these were strapped to a submersible and found to keep running well over 3x that:

personal anecdote as someone whose "ditching" their whole collection. my reason is simply because the majority of the fanbase has become mindless clout chasers vs true enthusiasts that care about art and design. back in the late 2000s supreme / visvim / acr were all in my wheel house, leaning more weightily on supreme. Aside from of course the common idea that you age and your tastes change etc, I ditched supreme completely in 2013, the "fanbase" was becoming something i definitely didn't want to associate my self with. Similar to acr i feel predominantly the audience is just clout-chasing hypebeasts at this point. It's sad because the music is great. but to make a music analogy to this. I have been a hardcore fan of John Mayer since the early 2000s, now imagine if all of a sudden the majority of mayer fans at a concert only know him based on his recent Instagram persona. You attend a John Mayer concert and 4/5 people around you aren't even listening to the music. they are drunk af. talking loudly taking selfies with the flash on obnoxiously. posting to their stories every 45 secs. that's what acr has felt like for the last couple years to me. I have just gone deeper and deeper into visvim over the years as I feel like it has never been subject to anything remotely similar. some of the shoes (fbts) were subject to some of this vain attention for sure, but the facts are that fuccbois aren't going to drop 2.5k on a jacket that they can buy some copy cat version of at a zara. the fanbase feels majority enthusiasts of art. I think i saw some dude post on the fb group the other month like "So please tell me alll the ACR grails" , then the next day made a WTB post of everyone's responses "WTB 47a 43a j28-k all colors" that type of shit. like tf kinda mentality is that. consumption isn't even for yourself if that's how your brain works. you are dictated by whatever status you can potentially gain, not your soul. trash. And when you think about people who listen to music in that very way. well they are the one's hopped up on whatever substance they can find, busy telling everyone on the internet what concert they're at, being obnoxious af ruining everyone else's time.

    Imperial Jeans

Those are beautiful man! @thedapperdaneYea I saw the ones on selfedge, but I was looking for either a pair of dukes or shearers (love the golden archs). Unfortunately, seems like Imperial is no longer in business.

Photos of my Type 2 Ai-001 - WID Double Natural Indigo jacket are on page 248, this thread, mpukas. As we discussed on that and next/previous pages, it depends on the jacket size. PBJ seems to increase dimensions disproportionately in the largest size, which I chose because I like a jacket that has room both for comfort and layering. I own lots of Ai dyed denim, but the color and purple hue of the indigo are unrivaled. The latest jeans, Ai-013-WID and Ai-019-WID are made with unsanforized cotton as was the first jacket. However, the latest run of jackets are made with Sanforized cotton which I do not care for or buy. That being said, PBJ hit it out of the park with this line of jeans and jackets.

@lance have you posted pics of your jacket? If so I missed them. I really like that jacket... been looking at it for a long time, but the length looks pretty long. I need wide shoulders and chest, but not more than normal in length.

It's mainly the waist measurement that changes in different sizes. Sure, rise and thigh measurements are scaled accordingly, but they don't change as much as the waist. If the waist is too small on your pair, and the thigh and rise are good, then sizing up 1 won't increase in those measurements that much when you wear them. And, if you increase the waist size, they'll probably ride a little lower, and be at the same level as you're pair are now. For me, regardless of rise, high or low, my jeans always end up just slightly below my hip bones. Unless of course if they're ultra-low rise and they don't even make it that high, lol. Neph on the IH forum has given out this good advice many times, that a cut should be chosen by the thigh measurement first, then decide on your waist size. If the thighs are too small for you size, sizing up will only make the waist too big. The only cuts that come to mind that I can recommend looking at are Samurai's S510 - it's a wide in the thigh and hips compared to the waist, with a medium rise, and straight leg; PBJ 019 straight tapered cut; maybe Tanuki's tapered cut if you want low rise and taper, but they are very low rise and very tapered. Tanuki's Regular Straight cut thigh's aren't that big, but it's a good cut. OD has worked w/ SDA on a relaxed tapered cut, but it looks really tapered. Otherwise maybe the guys more knowledgeable about repro models can give advice about a fuller leg cut, and you could get them tapered...

^ Here is the response I received from Ryo asking about expected shrinkage. I asked because PBJ O/W shows lots of shrinkage from Raw “PBJ factory wash the one wash versions so while they will run smaller than their tagged size they will not shrink any further than their stated measurements. If you were to soak a raw pair at home, w hile the waist will shrink around an inch, they will stretch out again with wear, hence we think considering the pre-wash measurements for waist, and expecting .5" loss in the rises, thighs, knees, leg opening and about 2" in the length. Let us know if you have any further questions!“

Lol no prob. It came out to $783. I have another Horsehide Boss coming in August that’s not in MP toe. I’ll ask Wesco Japan/Wesco USA to post it on their Instagram while I post it here once it comes in.

You just gotta keep wearing bro. 60 wears would be where I run if I'm sure it isn't gonna work. They look good on you—and I get the pain—but that is raw denim. After a few years you could get them to look like this. Trust me, a lot of work and at one time I thought the same thing.

      Tillman, hello!
I was rummaging through Japanese online stores and found a brand Unknown to me - GLEEM Clothing'Co. Another version of the repro?
Have you run into them? I'm interested in models in the 60s. Very little information on the sites.
      Respectfully, Boris
