Actually grabbed some one wash 105s yesterday from Canoe Club last week with a lot of enthusiasm and excitement because the things are just so neppy. Like for real. It was great and I felt great about my kop. But then I wore them and things changed. I'm not so into the fit anymore. I'm thinking 107s now. Anyway shameless plug the 105s are up for sale if anyone wants a pair of few hours old size 5 o/w for cheap tags in hand
  3. The old Wild Ass denim used to be unhemmed. Thats a great look for everything from flipflops to Wesco Loggers.

  5. Patagonia has also introduced Dyneema blend in their workwear denim. https://www.patagonia.com/product/mens-steel-forge-denim-work-pants-regular/56120.html?dwvar_56120_color=DDNM&cgid=mens-pants-jeans-workwear#start=1

Denim Blunders, Reflections and General Nonsense.

They say they source all fabric domestically and from White Oak. They allude to different fits and also rigid and stretch denim choices, but just have the one model atm I guess. Wouldn't expect hidden rivets at that price point, but would be nice.
  7. those do have some interesting features and tweaks... most certainly no selvage denim (Dyneema fibres), which would explain the Cone source - non-US Cone, probably China or Mexico. they mention that the jeans are made in/near SF, but don't include the fabric in that statement. also, no hidden rivets for that special douple layered back pocket and a tapered cut.

nice - custom hardware and custom tooling for said hardware is indispensable if you want to do it right (i.e. authentic looking) and important for brand building. it is also quite expensive. it often forces the brands to amortize costs through big volumes - meaning they will use the new hardware for quite some time while the denim, the patches, the cuts, the styling and even the manufacturer will change.

Indigofera shirt + Roy jeans + shitty desert boots

Picked up an Indigofera shirt yesterday at S&S and I really, really like it a lot Haven't ever been that interested in their whole aesthetic, but this ticks all the boxes for me as a simple, well-made, heavyish workshirt with no bells and whistles. Unsurprisingly, it fits me better than a lot of Japanese shirts, which is a nice plus. The fabric's a really soft chino / moleskin (not really sure where to draw the distinction) and it's been garment-dyed to a sort of brick red that doesn't come through so well in the photos. Not actually sure what the model is, but it 100% has my endorsement Fit photos for reference

Bump and price drop. Asking $540 USD plus shipping. A steal, but I need to move it.

@ALB Just lined up my two size 33 pairs, and they’re pretty much a perfect match from waist to inseam to hem. The OA denim does shrink a bit more than the #17 denim after a couple washes, so I would expect the saddle pants to get a tiny bit slimmer in the long run. My pair has been worn a few times, but not seen a second wash yet.

    Full Count Denim Thread

I've had no problems with my Fullcounts Cold Summer, but most of them were raw to begin with. True, the arcuate stitching fades pretty quickly, but otherwise fine.

    What about Jeans Jackets ....

I figured by pleats, you meant the normal folded "layer" style seen on a traditional type 2. My mistake.

    Vintage Denim?

All this makes me think that somewhere out there there's a pair of 505's with a button fly.

    Vintage Denim?

I have a pair of Levi’s Japan 503 BSSX from 1991 in natural indigo. I had some photos in the LVC thread but the links are no longer working, I’ll try to take some more soon and re-post. EDIT: they are a size 33.
