nice! Samurai did a cotton/wool blend a couple of years back for one model of the seasonal blend series of their Yamato line - made for a nice winter jeans. (Should try to dig my pair out for comparison.) for some reason, I think that SDA also did a similar blend, but I am not certain.

Thanks mpukas. Yes these were the pair on IG.....always a bit of a guess with denim but even though the size of this pair is consistent with what Ryan told me, they are just plain big all over.....kinda of a pretty big fail.... id like to try and work something out with Ryan ...but he’s tough to get a hold of ...

@kbuzz - I agree w/ Maynard & ecsong. They are too big. I also 2nd what ecsong said about the thighs being bigger than other brands too. I pickled up my 1960 SR size from Conoe Club in Boulder when they had a couple pairs in stock. Ryan told them to have customers size up 1. I tried the 35 they had, and they were too big, so I got the 34. I could really use a 33 since I've dropped some weight... Are those the 36's he posted on IG recently? If so I bet you could size down 2 and the waist would stretch out to be fine.
  9. Iron Heart Jeans

Hey all, I'm currently looking into picking up a new pair of jeans, and trying to decide between the Ironheart's 634s-ii or the 634-UHR. I owned a pair in the UHR fabric which I sold a while ago (big regrets), but I've never handled the I/I fabric. My question for those who have handled both, what is the difference in feel and weight between the two? thanks, suflu

Fabric looks really interesting—more regular than most of their current lineup w.r.t. yarn thickness, but super hairy / matted. I look forward to seeing how they shrink up, and how the fabric changes.

Do the suvin gold loopwheel tees shrink? They’re listed as one wash but in my experience with tees that doesn’t mean much. I’ve lost 2 inches in length on a one wash tee before.
  19. Shoes that look better with age...

It is very close between Role Club and Clinch. The upper stitching is slightly more consistent on the Role Clubs in terms of stitch size, but the overall stitching is tighter on the Clinch boots and the stitching pattern they do is more difficult. Neither boot has any wonky upper stitches of course and are both absurdly straight. The finishing is a slight edge to Clinch and the leather is definitely superior on the Clinch boots. They have more choices and better leather overall, unless you go for cordovan on the Role Clubs. Overall, I give the slightest edge to Clinch, but the custom measurements make Role Club a better option for many. They are definitely the two best engineer boot makers and the second and third best work boot makers after White Kloud. I am excited to compare my White Kloud boots to them when they arrive. In terms of boots that are not hand welted, I put Lofgren at the top. Personally, I am not a huge fan. The last is not all that appealing to me and I don't see any special leathers to choose from. Plus, given that Whites is inconsistent in quality, I would pick Wesco over them every single time. They certainly are not bad boots from what I have seen. Even after looking at both booths for multiple years at Inspiration, I still prefer what I see from Wesco. The customer service at Role Club is top notch. Brian is a very nice person and very easy to deal with. Living so close to him is great because I had my feat measured by him personally for my boots. His wait time is fairly long, but he is very accurate in terms of estimating when he will start and complete your boots. The only negative thing I can say is that I wish he had more leather options, such as some vegetable tanned horsehide or cowhide (non-cordovan). Otherwise, I cannot recommend him enough.

Why go through such cumbersome effort to log in and click a few links to finally come to a thread where you have to scroll through posts to see outfits that you'll maybe like when you can go on Instagram and search a tag and find the outfits that all look similar and cater to one's interests.
