  1. Past hour
  2. Hahaha. I was thinking more like a documentary about raw denim, it’s heritage, people could talk about brands, we could even get some retailers to talk. anyway, parking the idea for now till I understand more about crowdfunding.

  4. Orslow

Your benchmark that because a brand is carried at End that it is somehow mass produced or mainstream is way off. End carries Engineered Garments, Wtaps, Nhbd and Visvim would you say these are mainstream or mass produced brands? I wouldn't. Orslow is so far removed from mass-produced as you can get. Their name and company motto literally imply that they have slowed down production to create a quality garment. Indeed everything they make is done on old 1930s-40s sewing machines to create details that modern machines can no longer replicate. Raw denim sites such as Self Edge and Rivet and Hide tend to specialise in raw denim. orSlow doesn't offer much raw denim in their catalogue. Okayama denim specialises in denim brands from Okayama. orSlow is not from Okayama so it wouldn't make sense for them to stock it. One wash from Orslow is denim they have once washed to get most of the shrink out of it. Their distressed denim is sold as used, one -year or two-year washes.
  5. Some strangers in expensive jeans mingling awkwardly - who wouldn’t want to watch that?!

  8. Loopwheeled/Vintage T-Shirts

Whitesville tees came in yesterday. Sized up to medium and glad I did! I think the small would have been much too short. I'm 5'5'' and 140 lbs, would say I have a short but athletic build. Measurements for those interested: Pre-soak Shoulder 17 Chest 19.5 Length 27 Sleeve 7.8 After cold wash and tumble dry Shoulder 16 Chest 19 Sleeve 7 Length 23 I have broad chest/shoulders which makes the shirt drape loosely around the rest of my body since the shape is cut short and boxy.

i paid $250 for my bamboo prestos and 300 for my volt lavas because i bought them day of/day after release. this is par for the course/not a downmarket indicator. the secret ingredient for resale is generally time and patience.

  17. Stupid question, but how do I know if I'm more high rise or low rise. My regular khakis, i pull it up to waist, but it always falls down to right where the hip bone is. My Khakis are size a size 34 and it's pretty roomie both waist and hips, but I also have short and wider thighs

I decided to channel my disappointment over the loss of custom pocket bag fabric into something a bit more positive and fun. After practicing on some fabric scraps, I made my first foray into embroidery. Other than a small section on the left where I made the stitches too tight,I feel pretty good about this. I was especially happy that I avoided sewing the pocket shut:
