hey thanks mate. unfortunately we can not accept custom order for now. perhaps sometimes in the future. but we have a plan to make a looser cut, a more regular straight cut. maybe you should wait for that? ^_^ cheers

and now its real texture is also come out. the texture is quite unique, as it's made using slubby yarn. i'll take some close up shots of the fabric soon

The 14 ounces left hand twill indigo denim is from Nihon Menpu Mills, Japan. Nihon Menpu is one of the oldest and the most legendary mills in Japan. A small but well respected mills, Nihon Menpu, got their start by producing looms in 1915. As in every fabric they have, this denim has an amazing quality. Left hand twill denim was originally used by H.D Lee Company to differ its product from the fierce rival, Levi Strauss. This left hand twill denim we use has a softer and more vintage feel as the primary characteristic of any left hand twill denim. Left hand twill tends to wear down softer than right hand twill and thus a softer hand feel after washing.

It was sometime in November when we first received an email from Giles. We were quite suprised when receiving that mail. And we're even more surprised because he inquired to buy our heavy weight article. Unfortunately we ran out of stock in his size. So we told him that we will give him the next run of the heavy weight edition in December. But due to some unforseen circumstances, our production for the heavy weight edition was delayed. Fortunately we managed to make one pair, exclusively for him. We heard that in February he will visit Singapore and Jakarta to see some potential Iron Heart stockists, so we both think why not we just meet and pass out the jeans by that time then.

Long story short, it was already February 1st, the day that the Iron Heart Party was held in Jakarta. The event was held by the guys from 'The Denim Vault', a jakarta-based denim store that will be an offcial stockist of Iron Heart goods. The party was great. Many denim enthusiast, bottomless drinks, beat box, beer competition, and of course the meet and greet with Giles and Paula were just to name a few of excitements there.

And finally we had some alone time with Giles. We must say that he is such a warm and nice person. No wonder that he really have a lof of fans here in Indonesia (Just ask him how many pair of jeans, tees, etc, that he signed in that event, lol). And Paula is also a very lovely woman. After we handed the promised pair, without wasting any minutes, he immediately checked and observed the jeans by himself.

(still) checking out our heavy weight article

He said so many positive things about the 21/23 ounces heavy weight edition. We couldn't be more flattered and honored. We hope that he's satisfied with our jeans, and also we do hope that it's worth form him to wait. It's been a pleasure (and also exciting) meeting you, Giles. We hope you do enjoy Jakarta, and we will see each other again somehow in the future. Cheers!
