Alden 405- 11.5D
White's Semidress- 10.5C ( probably shoulda gotten D for thicker socks)
WWII impressions US army rough out - 11.5D (a little big - great for winter with big socks though. If they made a narrow I'd probably buy that next time. )
edit: my foot shape is a little weird - as you can see by the difference in my heel to toe and my heel to ball measurement. Also my big toes are the widest part of my foot rather than the ball - which is why I had to get an 11.5D in the 405. I probably would have gone with a B or C if my toes werent so damn big.

Alden Barrie last: 7E
Whites Smoke Jumper: 7E
Vans: 8D
PF Flyers: 8D
EDIT:
Alden Trubalance last: 7.5 D (indy boots)
after getting properly sized at moulded shoe, i was told the following:
i am a 7.5 D in Alden
I should buy modified last whenever possible
sometimes i can wear a 7D in shell shoes as they can be cut a little bit larger for some reason.

William Lennon 78PTC: 10
The William Lennon boots are probably a half size too large, but WL doesn't do half sizes & I decided to go bigger, rather than smaller. 9 might fit, but I'm not willing to risk it. My feet are pretty average- no corns, bunions, fallen arches etc., so I usually don't have any fitting issues. As soon as I find the right size, I'm golden. I haven't needed to try on sneakers in years; I just buy them, generally over the internet.

Brannock measured size: 10.5c heel to toe - 11.5c heel to ball
Alden 405- 11.5D
White's Semidress- 10.5C ( probably shoulda gotten D for thicker socks)
WWII impressions US army rough out - 11.5D (a little big - great for winter with big socks though. If they made a narrow I'd probably buy that next time. )
So how are the WWII impressions sized?
Some people choose same size in white's SD and 405 which you didnt..
Confusing.

For the SD I just went with what white's put me in. I'd say the WWII impressions boots are a little longer and wider than the aldens in the same size. I'd probably go down 1 half size. I actually ordered an 11D originally, but they were defective and had to send them back - only size left was 11.5 which I thought might be good with thick socks in winter - and insole in the warmer months.
I also actually originally ordered an 10.5C in the 405 (same as SD) and those were way too small. Turns out the only alden dealer in Raleigh didn't know what they were talking about? I had pressure on my big toe from the top and sides. tried 11C too those were also too small. So I went and got measured again, this time at an orthopedic shoe store and had them tell me my heel to ball measurement ( a recommendation from Brian at Giesche shoes, Geneva IL) and that worked fine. I think my feet are pretty difficult to fit.
also, I'd like to highly recommend Giesche shoes for all your Alden needs. Brian Schmidt is the man. Good old fashioned service and a very competitive price. Just ask him for it and I bet he can get it for you.

Any advice on White's SD? I'm leaning towards 11.5D, but I don't wanna fuck this up. Is there anywhere to try on in NYC?
