so if we're talking about the adidas boat cc lace, has anyone kept track of how long it takes for them to dry?
"quick-drying" seems open to interpretation.

I stepped in a huge plot of mud while in the park with my dog over the weekend. I thought the mud was gonna squish through the vents under the shoe like play-doh, but surprisingly the screens on the vent prevented that. However, cleaning out all those vents is a hassle and walking around with mud ain't fun.

So I took my shoe, ran water through the top, it cleared out all the mud. Pretty cool. Shoe was submerged and completely wet. I shook it off a few times and put it back on. Went about my day and within an hour or so I forgot it was wet, and checked in about 1.5-2 hours and it was bone dry. Even soaking set the sole is comfortable because it's not water logged, but I was glad to see that it dried so quickly. Wearing these camping/hiking where you know you're gonna get your feet wet is pretty awesome. I plan to wear em on my camping trip end of this month.

Anyone use the acronym 3A-1 messenger bag? How do you like it? I found one at a decent price, but never seen the thing in person... I like that the strap is extendable which I think makes it much more usable. If you have any pics of it and the interior, that would be great too. Thanks in advance.

Crosspost with the Acronym topic:

I have 2 versions of the 3A-1, both are being used for daily use.
Best non-laptop bag there is for me! (although i still put my 15inch mbp in it usually). Since I have my 3A-1 my 3A-5TS is just sitting in the corner never being used.

I only took photo's of my green limonta version for you.
Let me know if you want anything on the black version of any specific parts etc. Or PM

I've been using a 3a-1 for over 2 years. It's my everyday bag and the utility it offers is amazing. The scalable nature of the external pockets is incredibly useful. I'm often surprised the volume they can hold. Never used it to carry a laptop however, as I don't need to. Keep in mind the design of this bag predates main stream laptop ownership. The media ports and smaller hanging pocket were actually designed for MD players (correct me if I am wrong) to give you an idea of the age of this design. I can't say enough good things about the bag.

Use mine everyday as well, though I do carry a 15" laptop with me.

larssss, you got me reminiscing to my old Sony MZ-R55; that was the best. Word to Milspex.

back on the topic of misc urban tech wear since there IS A SEPERATE ACRONYM THREAD FOR ACRONYM DISCUSSION *cough cough* sorry.

anyways, mission workshop finally came out with their bags that you can customize. made in america, weatherproof, very inexpensive compared to aforementioned brands.

^ nice. I've had my eye on it for awhile, but have way too many bags/packs. Seems like a great value though and an SF company to boot.

sorta somewhat kinda relevant... Action shot of the outlier minimal backpack, 3-way shorts, and the adidas shoes discussed previously.

not just you.

on another note, how does using those outlier 3-way shorts as swim trunks work out? I've got a week on a beach in Cancun coming up, and was thinking about using them as such. Seems like they'd work pretty well.

Tts, like, what your waist actually measures? I've got a true 36 inch waist, but typically wear a 34 in outlier.

I'd say they'd work pretty damn well. Jump in the water with them, get out and they'll dry pretty damn fast. Def packing the shorts for super minimalist traveling.

I bought two Smartwool tees recently while they were on sale via SAC. Not bad and I like the fit after a warm wash/dry. Def worth the money if you can get em for ~$30.

Yea SAC is steep and cheap. It's like a "one deal at a time" type of site. I dont know if they ship international.

This was probably posted along time ago, but the Modular Bomber Jacket from Stone Island SP A/W 11 is still one of the coolest pieces I've seen.
