  1. Another lucky pick up of early ‘little e’ 2001s in amazing condition- barely worn. Gulls already deteriorating probably due to age and perhaps less robust paint than they used in later years. Lovely slimline tiger selvedge too.
  2. Definitely Lot2000 low rise compared to 2001, but great hand painted arcs and in such good condition. Evisu.jp is now gone so it’s good to pick up originals (even the wife approved and knows the difference of original Yamane!)
  3. Yeah, denim feels like it’s had a hot wash and not many wears- hairy and no set creases
  4. Picked these up on eBay- thought they were Lot2000 but they are actually Lot9000 which I’ve not heard of before despite my geekery. Any experts got any info? They measure 32 in waist despite 35 tag, so I’m assuming they are a No.1 Tiger selvedge, and coin pocket is non selvedge. Roping on hem is lovely, and because they measure 30 in leg means a small single cuff for my height.
  5. Looks like Yamane Japanese Denims is the new Evisu- Clutch Cafe in London hosting a pop up event tonight, and product includes Labor 7000 jeans (essentially the original Evis 2001). Already sold out in some sizes though! Glad that I’ve kept hold of some vintage Evis and Evisu- best I bust out the deadstock No.2 2004s in homage!
  6. Any time you’d like to sell…
  7. And another couple to re-ignite this wonderful thread! I’ve been wearing Fullcount and Warehouse so much over the years that my Evis/Evisu were my ‘comfort’ choice after work, until I realised that the 2001 cut is absolutely perfect and in a snobbish way puts the dads at the school gates in their Edwin’s to shame! Gulls divide opinion but I’m embracing and being proud about it!
  8. Picked up some early EVIS 2513. The big paint is what I would avoid usually but denim in such good condition I’m going to see if I can rock them
  9. Thanks mate, the previous owner sadly had messed with tapering so purple selvedge is gone lower down, so I’m going to get them hemmed/cropped for a high water no cuff style
  10. Picked these up on eBay- little ‘e’ suggests 2001 anniversary, and the denim is similar/same to silk/denim indigo of little e with gold selvedge of the same year. As a 49 year old dad, not only am I loving the original Japanese Evis/Evisu I am embracing it as proper dad style!
