Hi I was wondering if anyone has travlled in Cuba in the last 6 or so months and could provide me with some info...

I have the most recent Lonely Planet Cuba but it was published in 2004 so the info aint so fresh.

What is the availablity of Casa Particulares style accomodation in Havana currently like? Approximate cost per day? how you go about finding them? any other info would be great!

I am looking to stay in the Vedado area, so if anyone knows of any good Casa's that they have stayed in that would be great.

Any other generel tips for Cuba would also be great!

THanks a bunch!

Casa's are easy to find, try to eat in them as restaurantes and hotels are dull foodwise,Vinales wiked not much to do but if you walk to the caves stop at Alberto Mucha fruita stall and he may invite you to meet his pigs and drink fresh coffee,Trinidad is real Cuba casa snr Gil Lomes is a nice family
