I would love to know from anyone who has travelled in Cuba in the last 6 or so months of a few things...

I have the current Lonely Planet Cuba book but it was published in 2004 so the info aint so fresh.

Can anyone recomend good/cheap accomodation (Casa Particulares style) in Havana? What is the availablity of Casa style accomodation currently like?

Also, what is the approximate cost per day? how you go about finding them? any other info would be great!

I am looking specifically at staying in the Vedado area so if anyone knows of any good Casas they have stayed in that would be great.

Any other general tips for Havana?
