how reliable is the french postal service? And how come french ebayers are so impatient?

the last two packages I've sent to France have been "lost," and now I'm getting fucked over Paypal dispute(s). wtf!?! I think I may have "I do not ship to France" policy from now on.

Moreover, frenchies be like "I haven't received my item yet" -- only five days after end of auction. Chill out broS.

ps. I love croque madames and french porn chicks.

I would love to contribute more to this thread, but:

concerning politics, citizens are involved, and can express themselves freely (our current president's really bad ratings show it) . France has an odd way of practising democracy, but it is one for sure. it's slowly becoming less technocratic, and a few things could be improved, but so it is in many european countries, I think.

a friend of mine did the Ecole du Louvre, and it apparently was great, but it depends on what you want to do there.

the french postal service works quite well. it's just that french aren't patient at all, and do not trust paying services like Paypal.

oh, and croque madames are great, yes.

47: the french postal service is really reliable. I sent a few hundred of packages during the last 7 years, and received nearly as many, and I never had one lost, and they uphold the shipping time well. Same goes for international shipping, i have received/sent less packages, but never had one stolen, and most of them arrived quite quickly.

Sorry for your last two packages lost, but maybe they just went to the wrong country (happened to me once, a pair of shoes from america went to singapore before coming home, and it took 2 months of stress...)

About ebayers, maybe the french ones are more impatient, but it's the same everywhere I guess. There's anyway anything you/they can do to make it arrive faster, so why complain ?!

Oh, Sarkozy..

That silly fucker.

Well, I'd really like to do undergraduates and graduate's work there. Although I'm mostly interested in contemporary art, I think the Ecole du Louvre could provide a great understanding of art history and museology. Correct me if I'm wrong.. it's really difficult to find information on the institute online.

Ouss,

what/where is yr internship? Good luck finding a place to live. I've never been to Paris, but I heard/read it's a bitch to find an apartment.

For the pron chicks... yes some are hot...

Then for the impatience... Well this is french...

And for the postal service well...some package get stolen...

But also the postal service don't do the job they're meant to do...

But this is cool because nobody checks anything at customs....

I've ordered tons of stuff with +300$ on package... And nothing...

But as freecat said it's quite good... and it's quick... And i love french customs

Random questions:

What are politics like in France? I know all the formal things, but I was wondering how much a citizen can actually get involved.

Well in France... When some thing is not as everyone wanted to be... well everybdy goes in street, fight with the police, burns cars... And the goverment says "ok,ok"...

During the "CPE" riots... people where asking for a "stable job for everyone" so "communismn"... People don't understand that all those strikes and riots are bad for France...

And i don't really like our president...He is a pussy... like all the president for the past 30 years...

Mr President might be a pussy, but whatever people can say, he's trying to make thing change. Do you think that stupid bitch Segolène would have changed something, apart from bringing more shame to our country.

(i don't have a UMP party card, and i'm not a sarkozy lover, but he's not doing a bad job, he just should have stfu with his personnal life).

But well, speaking about politic on internet forum sucks ahaah.

ok, new rule :

absolutely forbidden to speak about politics!

only fashion ad consumerism! (and other cool stuff!)

Parler de la France sans parler de politique, ça risque d'être plus difficile qu'on le croit ;) haha

sarkozy or whatever his name is must be doing something right...

Yes, he's banging Carla Bruni

yeah speaking or france without talking about politic is hard. but in this country more than anywhere else, 60M people = 60M opinion... Create a nice reform, let the media distort it, people massively go marching in the street because they are too lazy to go to work, ???, PROFIT (from your reform-afraid country)...

funkyfrenchy, i don't have any exam, but there is no gta IV in close from my house according to a friend. and I need money to get a 360 btw... I can't wait to play it neither :D !

Why not a ps3? (on pourra jouer ensemble)

i'd love to but this is hella more expensive, and i may sell it by the end of the year, so i'm basically going to lose money. I don't need a Blu-Ray disc player, because I already download movies in HD on my computer. (and also i'd love to play some iso on it).

he married that bitch, didnt he?

he did, yes.

and talking about politics is clearly one of the funniest things to do in France. People always argue about everything (and they start young!).
