Malta!

I don't know if it even exists in this country, but if anyone has an account of what to do and where to go when it comes to shopping and clubbing in Malta, feel free to post! Since I'm going there on vacation in a couple of weeks I'd appreciate any information people can give.

going to malta is so far out there for most not to mention that many have never even heard of it. i looked into it couple of times since i was going to visit my family in europe and the packages were around $300 with airfare. your best bet is the forum on fodors.com. don't expect to be shopping for clothing and check the other islands if you get a chance.

I went to Malta in June or July and it was full of tourists, so we went straight to Gozo which is the tiny island North of the main one. There are less people because there aren't many beaches (but lots of places to swim in the beautiful water). It's a weird place: they all speak English and cook baked beans and fish & chips, but they look like Sicilians. There are so many churches it's amazing. There are old Leland buses and Kinnie (like chinotto) vending machines. I wish I was there now.... zzz
