In Melbourne... check out... Cookie for Thai and beer and lots to look at, Victoria Street in Richmond (Pacific House in particular) for Roast Duck and other Chinese/Vietnamese, The European for the best dinner in Melbourne, Atomica in Brunswick Street for the best coffee, Il Fornaio for the best bread, QVB and GPO for shopping also Hudson in Balaclava, Fat in Chapel Street, St Kilda, Greville St and all the little laneways in the city hide a multitude of cool stuff. Circa has the best breakfast and Bloody Marys... Crown is the best hotel... The best beaches are around 1 hour from Melbourne. Too many bars to even list - buy a bar guide when you get here... Camberwell Market on Sunday is cool for vintage and bargains. Chapel St Bazaar is also great for retro finds. Check out the Stussy Store in Richmond. Johnston Street, Fitzroy and Gertrude Street, Firtzroy are cool too... for food and shopping!
