Oiled once when I first got them - Obenauf's. Nothing after that - but when pulling up the pants I tend to touch the patch a lot. Cream, sweat and stuff just change to color

I haven't seen any jeans made by bootlegger's over the past year. They are mostly doing turn of the century (early 1900s) railroad type repros now.

Here are some of mine:

SExIH07- no washes or soaks, one application of Obenauf's LP

SDA SP-013- 2 soaks, one machine wash, applications of Obenauf's LP before and after each soak or machine wash

PBJ for BiG XX-013- 2 soaks, 2 machine washes, application of camellia oil before initial soak, application of Obenauf's LP after initial soak and before and after subsequent soaks and washes. The camellia oil was very effective in preventing the patch from shrinking and cracking, but it also darkened the patch a lot, and the patch hasn't returned to its original color at all yet.

SDA D1452- 1 soak, 2 machine washes, application of Obenauf's LP before and after each soak or wash

SExDBxS09- 1 soak by me, prior wash history unknown (got these preowned), application of Obenauf's LP before and after soak
