FS: Carol Christian Poell - Prosthetic elbow jacket - black

Selling a beautiful, iconic Carol Christian Poell piece – the well-known “object dyed prosthetic elbow jacket†in black.

 

Fabric and color code is: CORD-PTC/10

 

Size is a 44, but because of the fabric this jacket actually fits a 46 spot on – the only recent CCP jacket in which you actually have to size down. For your reference, I wear sizes between 44 and 46 depending on the designer. I’m a 46 in CCP suits - this is the only CCP suit jacket in which I had to size down to a 44.

 

The jacket is in perfect condition (10/10) and will be delivered with tags, ricebag and hanger. The pockets are still sewn together.

 

I bought the jacket from the “CCP flagship store†Motelsalieri in Italy which, I think, does not exist anymore. As the jacket is quite popular, quite a few re-issues were produced until recently, but to my knowledge the jacket is sold out for now. On top, I heard that CCP is not accepting any custom orders at the moment – so, don’t miss your chance here…

 

The color is a lighter yet still amazingly rich black. The fabric is one of the softer CCP fabrics and makes the jacket actually very comfortable to wear (compared to other CCP pieces…). As usual, the armholes are cut very high and the jacket is tailored very slim.

 

The titanium elbows, of course, are the stand-out feature of the jacket making the jacket a very strong piece without being too flashy. Another standout feature is the unique overlock-stitching which I tried to capture explicitly in one of the attached pictures. All outer seams are stitched in this unique technique and add a great finish to the jacket. As usual, all seams are taped and since the jacket is unlined one can “admire†the beautiful construction beneath.
