>> i think i'm going to be in st. augustine for a weekend this summer, and i'm wondering if there is ANYTHING that anyone can recommend. i'm hoping to find at least one good restaurant or bar among what i'm expecting to be a lot of tourist traps. thanks.

LOVE LOVE LOVE St. Augustine.
1. Go to Scarlett OHara's
2. St George Street for shopping
3. The beach the beach the beach
4.The Milltop is fun and always has great local music
5. Check out the Castillo de St. Marcos
6. Barnacle Bills..best select seafood in town and not a tourist trap..just a local joint with great select seafood.
This town is definately for the older set..if you are looking for the young night life you might as well head to Orlando.

Harry's, A1A Ale Works, and Gypsy Cab Co. for food. Rochelle's and the outlets (near 95) for shopping. Otherwise drive to Jacksonville and go to the St. John's Towne Center for more shopping and dining. Or downtown at The Landing.

Whenever I'm in St. Augustine I always eat at The Columbia, good spanish food.
